How should Trials of Osiris be balanced?

No supers.

729

No level advantages.

730

No reviving fireteam

235

No radar.

1793

Two, or more of the above (specify which).

231

All of the above.

282

So, we've all seen the train-wreck that is Trials of Osiris, and how it embraces unbalanced PvP. The question is how should it be balanced next week? EDIT: To everyone parroting the same crap ("HURR DURR DURR, GIT GUD"), piss off. You're not contributing anything, or discussing why changes shouldn't be made. I got Flawless on my characters, and you know how I did it? Vex Mythoclast, Last Word, and the Ram. It's boring as shit using and seeing the same weapons and rushdown tactics over and over. If you deviate from this, you lose because PvP is a gimmicky joke. Unless Bungie pulls a miracle and balances PvP forever, it will never be truly competitive.

There is no gimmick here. The Burning Shrine is a map that fosters close-to-mid-range combat. What you saw were SMART teams chosing to run with the most effective weapons in the game for THAT style of fight. That is, the weapons with the SHORTEST time to kill at that range. Pre. Patch 1.1.1, what you would have seen was a ton of auto rifles. Suros Regime, Grim Citizen, Shadow Price. Plus the Mythoclast, and a smattering of handcannons. Pre 1.1.2 (special ammo restriction) you would ahve seen a LOT more snipers and shotguns. The only way you'll see a wider variety of weapons is if Bungie buffs ARs, and makes them competitive again in terms of time to kill. ToO was VERY competitive. Delightfully so. But what it DIDN"T test was your ability to rush people, blink and out gun them. What it tested was your ability to work closely with a team...and to out THINK and out STRATEGIZE them in a game of cat-and-mouse. Like Prof. Broman on YouTube nicely put it, "Trials of Osiris is like a game of chess." Only with virtual guns.
