This Thread is just another drop in the bucket. More than half of the Threads in #Feedback is about endgame-matchmaking. Still Bungie plays the bigoted child. You can't ignore it forever. If you do, you will lose many of your customers. Your philosophy is just so wrong, selling a game and forcing the players to look for teammates outside of the game for more than half of the content, because you think this is a "social experience". If I would do so, I would not have the time to actually play the game. A social game without social features. Let us play the game we paid for the way we like to. If you don't add a basic feature like matchmaking in the near future this will be the last game I bought from you and I hope many other players will join the boycott.

Bump. I have a feeling all of the players clamoring for OMM will he playing Halo this fall.

I not against matchmaking. If you follow these steps you will be playing your endgame content imediately. Everybody posting here, add everyone else posting here, go play Raids together.

Another bump comment!

If they implement optional matchmaking player will complete the limited content to quickly, bungie can't have that.

Really they haven't ignored it up to this point. They've commented in the forums, in interviews and so on that the dev's are against MM for endgame activity. The system in place today isn't all that great and it would be nice to see them adjust it, although I don't think OMM is a better approach than in-game LFG. One thing I'd point out is that even with the system being as bad as it is now, you don't necessarily have to leave the game to build a fireteam for endgame content. Activities like strikes, strike playlists, the weekly and lvl 28 PoE all have matchmaking currently and a lot of people that don't have to look to find a group of 6 to do the raid anymore are people that used those systems to find players they enjoyed playing with and add them as friends. As it stands, that's probably the best and easiest way to build a team to use in the future.

Bump. It's nice that there is a forum for getting groups but let's face it, it can take up to an hour to get a group depending what you want and what you have. Pick up and play is what we want bungie, not pick up, search forum, wait 30 minutes, get into half full party, wait another 30 minutes then play (sometimes party disbands before even starting). Finding less and less people on friends list playing destiny due to all the broken promises bungie gave us.

Been almost a year now and even before that the beta testers were requesting it. I hope it gets added but by now I've lost hope for it. I would like to see optional matchmaking for Destiny.

They need to step the -blam!- up and quick yanking their dicks

Instead of getting on the forums to complain about no matchmaking, why not get on the forums and join some people looking for an extra player. I agree that their should be a choice for matchmaking but the forums are available and it's pretty easy to get a team for whatever activities you are trying to do.
-
I looked at some of the comments and the bottom line is it should be standard matchmaking by level( main reason the crucible is jacked up) but if you want to then party up like all other games COD has master this and their not complaining. If someone quits it would drop a new player in instead of hitting the forums looking for ppl that having already done POE or Crota for the week. Yes I'm on most of the LFG stuff but it wastes so much time and good luck getting on a nightfall unless u create your own game.

Edited by TheTrueMandalore: 6/15/2015 2:04:38 AMI think they need to change the way chat works as well. Like opting out being the default option(that needs to be changed in my opinion because it stops people from actually doing that whole socializing aspect that Bungie prides Destiny on doing).
