I've fought through two Iron Banners, and occasionally dabble in Crucible but more often than not I can be found In VoG, The Abyss, patrolling or doing strikes.
This weekend with the Trials of Osiris beginning I had visited the guy in the Reef and previewed the chest piece on my Hunter and it looked beautiful, amazing and with Revenant I would have been the most badass Hunter on the block. But I fully accept and know where my PvP skills are....near the bottom. I have a couple of friends who enjoy doing PvP but they like me would rather immerse themselves in PvE than fight the million Thorn users and the hardcore PvP players.
So we didn't even try. We did Crota's end, Vault of Glass and ran a friend through the HoW story and level 28 PoE instead.
Are we the only ones or are they others like us?

Edited by GraciousEel761: 5/25/2015 11:36:04 PMI didn't mess with it because I don't have a two others that I can count on. Most of the people on my friends list are people I've only played with 1 time. And I don't have a mic. Also, I don't have a Thorn/Red Death/Gjallerhorn/The Last Word (passed it up, didn't want it). I feel at a disadvantage with my Three Little Words, Matador/Invective/Found Verdict (I have plenty more Shotguns) and Truth.

I may wait until I'm 34 to at least avoid a little frustration.
-
I didn't even bother. I'm not a huge pvp fan. I do IB for the drops alone regardless of how badly I lose. If I heard of some completely unbelievable drop from ToO, I might try to assemble a team just for the rewards, knowing I will lose outright every time. But I don't want to even bother really. Normal crucible rewards have been great as of late and the IB drops will be amazing. And really I've only seen a handful of posts talking about ToO and very few even talk about how great of an experience it is or how amazing the rewards are. PoE has my attention as of now, and with IB coming up, I have other things I'd rather focus on.

Not even gonna touch it lol. I suck at PvP and when I try I always rage. Not too fun. That's why I don't play CoD
-
If i ran with my friends it would be a guaranteed flawless run and I couldn't even be bothered to touch it. I'm with you in that I'd rather explore all of the PvE stuff and then after that I might dabble with the Trials.
-
I'm slowly getting better at pvp, but I also did not try it this weekend. Mainly because k worked all weekend but in a week or 2 I will gather my pvp team and go in for the fun and competitive nature of it
-
I would have played it if matchmaking was possible. And I didnt bother LFG-ing. So yea... no Trials for me.
-
I didn't either. Not only are my pvp skills on the decidedly noobish side, it's not matchmade. I only play either solo or with one of my work colleagues, so non-matchmade activities typically exclude me (aside from the odd 2-mannable Nightfall and such).
-
I may not be very good at pvp but I'd give it a go if it wasn't for all the lag switching and crap that bad players use
-
Still newish to pvp, 0.4 kd, I didn't bother.
-
I will just wait a week or two until toO thins out with all the pro's leaving and then give it a chance. Usually don't play pvp only did IB sofar. Guess it will be doable with a 1.something kd and a decent communication
-
We tried 3 times, knowing we wount last very long. And we didn't... Absolutely no chance. But I will keep trying!! Will train in pvp and one day will survive more and more rounds in ToO. It's just week one after all...
-
Yeah I didn't even bother.
-
I agree it looks very daunting for someone who isn't hot on PvP. I'll try it . It's a shame it's not matchmaking
-
You're better off. What a shitshow.
-
I got 9 etheric light out of it lol
-
No, I haven't even attempted to enter the Trials. I suck at PVP too....
-
I didnt either
-
You are not alone. I didn't try it either. And that's ok. Pvp people need raid level stuff too. And not all gear is for everyone
-
I dont enjoy pvp and if i dont like it i dont do it.
-
Pvp in destiny may be the worst pvp of all time. No way in hell I'd even bother. And yes, I suck, but doesn't matter.
-
I don't know anybody who plays Destiny, and the only mic I have doesn't work, so I never even used any of my passage coins, let alone done to Trials.
-
Yeah, the Thorn and final round snipers are very real. Iron Banner was bad enough, don't expect to see me in the Trials for a while to come.
-
i didnt play this time around... focused on poe and getting to 34... i also only play iron banner... think my KD is like 1.25 but im a careless player by nature... but having played years of round based FPS games, i think ill do alright once i can find a couple friends that dont royally suck at pvp.. im in no rush...
-
I didn't try it either, because no matchmaking.
-
Me too. My friends got pretty far, but they choked on their last game. Its safe to say theyre staying out of Trials now.
