prison of elders treasure key
the only treasure key i ever got was from finishing the HoW story missions and i have grinded for almost three hours in the skywatch opening every ether chest at least twice. anyone one else having the same problem? this is proving to be more of a problem considering i have done the PoE 4 times and i only got to open the big chest which was on lvl 28. i think that the drop rate should be increased also lots of my clanmates had the same problem.

Yeah if bungie is making them required for poor then they need to increase the key drop rate...

You are grinding in the wrong places. It is extremely rare to find a treasure key from the Etheric chests. Besides that, there is quite a bit of time to wait between wolf invasion events. Stop boring yourself by doing that over and over. It is proven that the two small chests in the Prison's treasure room has a better chance of giving keys. I myself got a key yesterday doing the 32 PoE. And, when you take into account the time it takes for a good team to finish a prison versus the chances of getting a key, the prison runs are the better option. But don't grind THAT over and over cause that will get boring too. Mix it up. Do both events that way you won't feel like a drone trying to get the keys.

I can't even imagine having to do it alone like I see others doing. I only found out today that you can get keys by turning in the blue bounties to the Queens emissary. I did all three bounties on all three characters and got two keys from it, so try that out if you haven't already. You can also just spam the 28 prison of elders for the side chests at the end, they can also drop keys.

What I really wanna know is why I'm not getting the Hunter cloak from PoE. I've opened the chest multiple times as my hunter and still nothing.

After I finished story I realized they were for unlocking the chest in poe. One keys for each character isn't enough. I ground for hours after and left area multiple times grabbing chests. I have had 4 in total with the story mode keys also.

Try venus jump between ember caves and citadel. Load up vog with a full fireteam leave 3 in citadel 3 in ember caves and just call out when the event starts there's more than enough time to get between the 2 areas then after you grab the chest leave the area until the name changes then turn around and farm it again sometimes you can 3 or 4 chests if you're fast enough

1 ReplyBungie somehow finds a way to screw with people! Last time with TDB it was a grind for re-upgrading all the exotics! This time it is stupid treasure keys! There should be a limit to stupidity. At what point the game stop being fun and start being an obsession - stupid treasure keys!! I hate it! I simply hate it !!

Yep. This treasure key situation will be death of HoW. In my opinion. (or it will be a change to skolas making 35 unbeatable that will push players away). Many Players thought the 1st completion of the week guaranteed them a key on level 32 and 34 from all the youtubers videos. And from Bungie twitch steam. Now we learn otherwise. When all the influx of players last few days realizes that's not how it happens and key grinding is the only way to get keys in the days to come..... Well my guess is a lot of those players won't stay. Witcher looks pretty damn good. And batman is coming soon. And well Destiny grinding against the evil Bungie RNG is not really enjoyable. Just IMO.

Be patient buddy, we all know grinding sucks in a rng system. Hopefully you and myself get lucky in Nightfall or the banner for etheric. :)

2 RepliesI could grind all day for treasure keys and I'd probably get one. Which is fine if I had an entire day to dedicate to grinding. Which I don't. So I'm guessing the only way to get a decent amount of treasure keys is to have the time to play all day everyday and/or be really lucky. I figure I won't be getting to level 34 for a while lol

i hate the pitifully low drop rate fore keys. and i hate being un able to get rid of those ammo synthes even more.

it is ridiculous cause atm people are abusing the glitch to farm chests n still not getting it imagine trying to get it legit........ with drop rate as it is now im wondering if it would be easier to recreate a new guardian and power level through story n HoW story to get a guaranteed key than it would be trying to chest farm the way bungie intended it to be done without the glitch...... plus its shown how a dismal the blue engram rate to becoming a legendary is decoding so many in bulk

It's way to hard to get any keys I mean come on I've been trying since the add on dropped and haven't got one yet can't you let us find them a lil easier plz
