I only got 2 wins in ToO, and I'm OK with that.
I'm honestly just an average PVP player. Although I didn't get into a team with top players, we did alright, and I won two matches. I was happy with the stone tier rewards.
I'll keep practicing and keep trying.
ToO was designed for hardcore PVP players, and they're rewarded for their skill. My 1.2KD is not good enough to grant me access to those rewards. Thus, I will play and play until I get better. I am skilled in PVE, and I am rewarded for it. The Trials rewards aren't unfair. Anyone can become great at PVP, with time.
I congratulate all of you who are great in the trials. I hope to one day share the glory of the lighthouse with you.
Edit: I appreciate all the help offers, but I am on Xbox One. There doesn't seem to be as many willing to help on Xbox One.
Edit 2: Jeez. Congrats on all the flawless runs, guys! I'd be happy to just get 5 wins, but can't seem to get there.
Edit 3: So many replies, and so little hate! I'm not going to cry for a nerf, because people use the weapons they want. I won't complain about the try-hards, because they love this game and they have the skill. I've enjoyed every match, and I learn from every match, even if I get destroyed. Every match is a learning experience.

Respecting your acceptance that simply put there are better teams in this hardcore mode. I think you need to find a new team. I've seen some people go further even tho they aren't too good. I'm down to help although I'm not pro or anything. Xbox 1. As for me i feel that I'm getting closer to a lighthouse

Well written post, much respect. I'm also in your shoes, average pvp player and tried trials for 2 sets with players who don't pvp much and we struggled we also won 2 matches. My main problem was all my mates were all doing poe and had to wait almost an hour to find a few people to play with, when we lost, that was enough for them and went onto to do other activities. I went back to plain old crucible to practice more. Always next week. 😊

Kudos friend. The best I did was 6 wins. Got my chest plate and am stoked. I'll be trying every now and then as I feel I'm getting better.

I congratulate you for being so humble about your experience in the trials, I was that guy when I first got destiny with .02 k/d ratio , I worked on it and got better and got comfortable with guns that helped me understand the flow of the battle and I step into The lighthouse....but your post makes me more happy, I'm also Xbox one I wouldn't mind helping you get there bro. Thanks for a great post.

2 RepliesOne of these days I will try out the pvp for something other than bounties for exotics. There just seems to be such hate for those who are not good at it I never felt it was worth working to get good at it. Might have to start doing some basic pvp to try to get better at it. Any one know what would be the best area to start?

Same here man. I got two wins and was happy with that. I never play pvp unless its for a bounty or if I have some friends playing it and they need one. I enjoyed it though, outside of looking silly against a few teams.

I'm okay at losing, it just means to do better next time, but my fireteam can get super salty about losing and it leaves me not being able to play ToO again. :(

I'm in the same boat. I'm decent in pvp and usually top 3 and I brought my friends in there to see how we could do and we got 3 wins and was happy. Maybe one day we will be good enough
