Am I the only one??
I literally play this game just to play! I could care less if I make level 34. Even when the dark below came out, I didn't care about getting level 32. I eventually did but it was not a big deal to me! I have friends that are doing everything that they can to get to 34 and some that already are and they are already complaining there isn't anything left to do after a few days!
I like to savour my time with games! Like a fine wine or a great meal, it's all about taking your time with it! I like to stroll into areas and take in the scenery! I had one friend just two days ago say to me "wow look at that cool volcano they put on Venus". It took a while to convince him it's always been there! He legit thought it came with house of wolves!
So does anyone else play to play? Or is it all play to finish?
Edit - Wow thanks for the comments guys! It's great to see there are people out there that play just for the fun of the game! I to would like to get to max level one day, but I'm not bothered if I don't! I'm having fun with it either way!!!

Dude...I just hit 32 with the new level cap. I play this game almost entirely to run around and find stuff that's rad to look at. So yeah, I'm with ya.

The way the leveling is structured seems like it's designed for the long haul, because people had 3 34's in a couple of hours. I'm with you. I feel like the grind is over. It used to be: every week nightfalls X 3, heroic X 3, Crota norm, Crota hard, vog hard, repeat, repeat. Then Rocs on Sun and Mon. Oh shit! It's Iron Banner. Gotta grind Crucible til my eyes bleed and I can't sleep. It was like a full time job. Now I'm like, cool. Wanna do Prison? Yeah, I guess. Wanna raid? Nah, don't feel like it. Farm for keys? OK. All the people trying to conquer everything the first week will be burned out and gone by next month. Sure, they'll still troll the forums and be bitchy, but we'll always have something to look forward to.

Well I'm 34 already but I don't complain! There is still a lot to do in this expansion, the point here is not being 34, as anyone can do it easily now, but HOW will you be 34, what logout will you have, common guys, don't be like that

I play this game because I love it and though I really want all the loot this game has to offer, I'd probably still play even if this was just a normal FPS. Oh, and as for taking my time on this game, I've gone from long walks on The Forgotten Shore to gazing at the sunset from The a Lighthouse on Mercury.

It used to be a contest who can get to 32/34 first but now I just don't care since another expansion isn't coming out until August and the witcher 3 is out so Destiny will be collecting some dust for the next couple of months

I usually play while I'm hammered. I shoot stuff, run Dregs down a la Grand Theft Auto with my sparrow and snicker when I hear the thud and watch them somersault over me. I do missions, bounties, sample different weapons. I could care less how I do. I just have fun playing. No one gets to me, and I'm in no hurry.

I don't because I made that mistake when Destiny came out, I didn't care about getting to level 30 and didn't do the raid while all my friends did it. And now it sorta backfired because I barely have any strange coins, materials and VoG weapons.

I have been saying this since the start. There is no reason to rush through everything, you only wear out the game faster by doing so. Ever since players were cheesing raids and strikes to be done with them faster, it's only gotten worse. People cant seem to sit down and enjoy the action of just playing the game anymore. There always has to be something to grind for, some reason to justify you playing it outside of it being fun. I can't understand that logic. Just sit down and enjoy playing the game. When you finally accomplish things such as beating Atheon or making it to the lighthouse, you will feel truly rewarded, and won't feel burnt out on in in days.

I'm with ya! I'm 34 because I got lucky with the etheric light from trials, but I honestly just love hopping on this game with friends and having a fantastic time.
