Trials of Osiris Guide.

I'm bored and my eyes hurt after two hours of going 8-2 in ToO so here you guys go. 1. [i]Know your map.[/i] This will make all the difference between a solid win and a devastating loss. 2. [i]Always look at your radar![/i] Guns with Third Eye help immensely. 3. Beware of Thorn and Red Death. These will bite you in the ass. Duck and strafe. 4. [i]Heavy ammo.[/i] If you know what you're doing, you are almost guaranteed to win. 5. I may be crazy but if you "taunt" your enemies (tbagging, dancing), they may get frustrated, lose focus, and go for you only. 6. [i]REMEMBER YOUR GRENADES![/i] Can't stress this one enough. 7. Fusion rifles are a definite NO, unless you've got one with Send It and a fast charge rate. Chances are, you don't. 8. [i]Let the enemies come to you.[/i] Home court advantage? Not sure if that term applies to this. Anyways, being on the defensive is generally better than being on the offensive. 9. [i]Boons.[/i] I prefer the "Mercy" boon, just in case. 10. [i]Communication.[/i] Suggested by multiple people. You will fail without it. [b]Hunters-[/b] My setup is generally Stalker and Fast Twitch. Throw in a Flux or Arcbolt grenade. If you like using Gunslinger, go for Gunfighter, Tripmines, and incendiary knife. [b]Titans-[/b] Defender works well. Blessings of Light will help in a sticky situation when you need that clutch revive. MLG420 [b]Warlocks-[/b] No doubt about it, Fireborn. Fusion grenades? I think so.   • I just realized isn't it weird how mask of the third man literally gives you a third eye but you still can't see your radar when using it

    • Ok this is a good list, besides the fusion rifle thing. Plan C worked wonders in Trials! You can lure people who are sitting behind a corner with a shotgun by walking up close then backing up. They come rushing out and you are at perfect distance for a fusion rifle kill. Oh and on the warlock, replace fusion grenades with firebolt, they hit everyone instead of killing one guy. Touch of flame makes them even better

      • Really... you only need one point. Make sure to have at least two thorns on your team. Thats all. Did it myself today and different 3 man groups on my clan made it to the lighthouse... 5 times so far.

        • Trials blows. I think its the worst pvp ever made. one shot, your dead. Every one uses thorn or reddeath. Ive shot people twice with a sniper rifle. Both times in the chest and it left them alive. Get shot with red death or thorn all the way from the other side of the map, dead. Whats the point of this shit? They need to up our armor so its more of a battle and make all weapons equal. If not, they need to fix the sniper rifles to one shot kills even if you shoot them in the toe. That's how stupid this shit is.

            • It's kind of sad people require a guide for PVP, it's just common sense. You shouldn't have to tell people these things like look at the radar. Anyways it's good that you are helping people. I skimmed through the post and didn't notice this but I think the #1 most important thing is : Constant communication. I played two trials 1 on each character and went flawless each time. 2 separate fireteams. 1 LFG 1 played with them a fewtimes. The one thing that was constant in both squads was there was zero seconds of quiet time during the game. We called everything out aswell as what we were doing.

            • Not bad but self res is way overrated. Radiance with radiant skin is arguably the best offensive super available. In all the games I've seen the guy who uses self res died twice.

              • Self revive is poo, I just nova bomb anyone who self revives.... Also if your a warlock don't use fusions. Use solar bolt with touch of flame and Viking funeral

              • The most crucial thing I've found to be successful in the trials is what me and my team call "Ghost Control". What I mean by that is that when we take one person on the opposing team down, we rush the dead Ghost to defend it from the revive. At this point, it's three on two. At that point we guard the dead opponent with us three there until the second one goes down. Then have two people go after the last person while one guards the ghost. Same thing if one person dies on your team. Since you should be in basically the same area, the remaining two should guard the ghost until revive. Note that this is typically difficult to do, but is your best chance at getting back into the game at this point. Basically all I'm saying is that once someone dies, the main objective of all surviving guardians is to pounce on the dead Ghost and guard it. Drop whatever you are doing and make sure you control the dead Ghost.

                • Option A: Make the enemy come to you so they can surround you on all sides and kill you in 20 seconds. Option B: Cut off the enemy before they can take control of the choke points, flank and kill. Rinse and repeat. The lighthouse is pretty sweet btw. Got the hand cannon.

                • I would say for warlock: sunsinger w/ arc bolt grenade, touch of flame, Viking funeral, and fireborn. Everything else can be preference.

                    • For Warlock.. I disagree... Firebolt Nade.. Touch of Flame / Viking Funeral.. ..will help out you and your teammates immensely.. Will show where they are on the map.. For much loonger than Thorn would.. ..they are also hurt.. being hurt as we speak.. and most likely running for their lives..

                      • For your average player I'd also recommend not buying any buffs until you've gotten 3 wins just my opinion

                              You 100 percent do NOT play defensively Edit: okay obviously I'm not talking about running straight into the enemy until either he dies or I die. You rush into the enemy, make contact, then apply pressure.

                              • Felt like any sunsinger was just bait usually melted them during their super before anything got going. Void walkers axion bolt always created space between us and the enemy. Nova bomb their heavy. Got to the light house twice tonight. Stick together spread out on heavy. Don't come in with auto rifles just won't end well.

                                • Have to agree with most of your tips but disagree on the fusion rifle, I have a HoW 365 Fusion rifle which is pretty similar to the Plan C (lower stability and charge rate) and it's a beast, especially if you know when and how to use it. It's 90 or so impact can kill someone who has just been revived with a direct hit.

                                    • Pretty good. I would add three things: One: if you manage to pick off a lone guardian, rush their dead orb immediately and make the others come to you to revive. Two: constant but effective communication. Words like "on me" are brief and give a good enough description of where enemies are 3. I prefer firebolt with ignite and viking funeral on my warlock with voidfang. One because they can't regen for about 7 seconds. Two because it give brief wall hacks. Three because it hits area damage
