Anyone else shy about using mic to communicate online??
Some of us out there have really bad social anxiety and using mics to communicate can be unbearable. Im having trouble getting a team for Trial of Osiris because everyone wants me to use my mic and i don't. Anyone else out there that's really shy about communication,how do you deal with it?what works for you?share your thoughts/experiences here.

I'm really shy but I feel 'free' when I play with people I don't know. Use a mic and have fun for a few hours with nice people.

Don't worry dude, I'm the same. I've had anxiety for years and some people don't understand. Luckily I play online with my brother so he does the talking for me. Anyone on PS3 can add me (same PSN as here) but please bare with me until I gain confidence :P

Nah, I don't have any problems communicating. Just answer questions if asked, yes and no, just easy stuff. No need to start conversations or anything.

I honestly wouldve had empathy for you but honestly with a name like that, you'd just be random #73021 in the raiding party I'd only carry for rockets on Crota and then you get the boot after.

I typically start off with some crappy joke in order to break the ice. If they laugh then it's all good. Yet if they stay silent I acknowledge how bad the joke was and only talk when it's important

Nope not personally, I like to chat with others that are down, Ill just talk about the game, if no one wqant to talk or is like this I just let them be and do their own thing, I do hate when i talk or give a tip or answer questions and people blow e off, then a minute later someone says the same thing or repeats what i say and everyone is like omg good idea or oh now I get it, come on people dont be a d!(#

2 RepliesDuring Trials, you really need to have everyone using mics to communicate effectively. Having a teammate call out an enemy flanking can decide a match's outcome.

Communication is key. Plus its over a mic not in person. First time using radio was nervous in Korea. After a few times I relaxed.

2 RepliesJust ball up. Put it on. All u gotta do is listen for call outs. And then call out what u got goin on. Dont look at it as a social experience if thats what bothers u. Look at it as a fireteam experience. Cuz pros ant got time for the chitter chatter any wat. Most. Of the time me and my friends don't talk at all during events raids n bounties. Love having team mates that can read me and i can read them. Dont sweat it bro ull meet tye right ppl one day. If ya need some help just ask. I and a few ppl i know can help ya.
