Treasure room fall killed me.
Using blink on a hunter, fell and spammed jump but died anyways. thought it was okay until i saw the 30 second respawn timer and the 24 seconds till mission end..
Edit; to everyone who's telling me it's my fault, no shite. I'm not complaining about blink, I'm complaining because I played something for half an hour and was denied the reward simply because the respawn timer was 30 seconds. I did not die on the treasure room floor, I died about two levels up. Neither one of my team mates could revive me and they already opened the treasure.

The mission ending only triggers when someone opens a chest. [b]Your teammates screwed you.[/b] Well look on the bright side, only missing like couple motes of light.. Unless RNG loves you, a treasure key.

This is why we always wait until everybody is down/has gear switched around before we open it.

no one should even be near the chests until you are all down and all alive. It was your team mates fault for opening the chest too early. The timer does not start until the first chest is opened

I'm not going to say it was your fault, your fireteam should have the common decency to wait to open chests until everyone is present and correct. You are still retrievable even if you have died at the top of the room. Also you would have still been rewarded any rep, armour/weapon cores and etheric light that you were eligible to earn for completion. The treasure chest itself is no great loss anyway, unless you needed it for cipher.

Your teammates should wait till you are on the ground. And you can self revive after the timer... The game doesn't end until someone opens the chest. And you still get the cores and etheric light but no coins or motes.

1 ReplyEven if your team didn't pick up the chest you wouldn't have got it. This happened to someone on my fireteam, and when the 30 seconds was up, he respawned outside where we fought the boss with the door locked. He even killed himself 2 more times, no luck getting into treasure room :(

I usually wait for all guardians before opening chests except those that mess up the game. Eg doesnt bother wiith any mines or doesnt revive anyone...

7 RepliesTell your team that it is 75% their fault for grabbing the chest without making sure everybody is safe and that it is 25% your fault for using blink on a jumping puzzle. Actually its more of a dropping puzzle. Jumping is not necessary. Just drop one ledge. Wait for health. Drop another. Repeat.

That almost happened to me, I was trying to land on each of the platforms but slipped off the first one and fell all the way down and had a sliver of health remaining
