Bungie, "Blink is not Titan" (Short Version At The End)

Didn't know where else to post this since I couldn't find an underpowered section. The titan class is the only one which doesn't get a sub class with an instantaneous blink ability. For pvp blink is a great ability which if mastered absolutely gives one an advantage in the crucible. However I noticed the trend seems to be that this is justified because "Blink is not Titan". However we already have a blink like ability, shoulder charge. The only problem is the wind up is so long that it pales in comparison to the instantaneous blink of the void walker and blade dancer. If there isn't a ton of cover around the titan while winding up the charge (even in jump) they are likely to be shot out of the sky before they can shoulder charge (to disorient). Maybe this can't be fixed this game without an exotic. However maybe it would be good for a Destiny 2, which I have heard rumors about. What if we reduced the damage to shoulder charge to that of a regular melee or even got rid of damage on it. There would be an option to use this shoulder charge in place of storm fist. Also give it a 5-7 second cool down (like blink strike.) We should also have the option to use it without a target (hitting thin air like we can do with the current shoulder charge.) If shoulder charge was limited in this way it would be more reasonable to then give titans the ability to shoulder charge with no wind up time. Allowing it to be used in a similar way to blink. (Albeit without the ability to chain two moves together due to the cool down). Key to this would be allowing the shoulder charge to still be used during a basic jump. (Should not be allowed to be used whilst in the advanced phase of a jump. Such as the gliding section. Wouldn't make much sense without the windup/ be unfair to the other two classes.) This way titans would be able to have a good disorienting move which could be used consistently in pvp. Just like the other classes. If one is worried about the logic behind this; there is no need for a windup, think NFL linemen. They don't need to be at a full sprint before they 'explode' and charge into each other. So why does the titan? As for the jump the titan should be powerful enough to kick off the ground quickly. Kind of like our death from above perk but in reverse. Death from below if you will. Although more of an afterthought, this would help consolidate titans as the close quarters combat 'Any fist is better than a Gun' class. They would be able to close in quickly on opponents and disorient them, allowing them to do what they are intended to do. Be close range fighters. As a reminder to balance this their 1 hit KO ability should be removed to do the same amount of damage as a blink strike and have a 5-7 second cool down. Right now due to the predictability of the windup titans are likely to be shotgunned in the face or shot down from the sky. They also have the shortest melee reach. In light of this, this causes them to be the weakest close quarters fighters. That is unless you can find opponents who are prone to hanging around corners without shotguns and without the planning skills to anticipate and soundly out maneuver the highly predictable shoulder charge we have now. Sorry for the wall of text Bungie. It is just that I feel as if the titan is at a big disadvantage in pvp due to their inability to disorient targets like the other two classes can, if they so choose. However as a titan we don't get that choice. To gain that advantage we have to change classes. In light of House of Wolves this is made easier. However it still sucks especially since I like the idea of being a brutal machine of war (I mean the NPC's leading the crucible are titans, however the titan is the weakest pvp and for the matter close quarters combat class); and have spent so much quality time with my titan. This is probably why titans are a minority on the leader boards. Namely because they don't have a blink like ability which can be activated on the dime to disorient opposing players. Don't mean to rant. Don't care how much hate I get. Just want you to please hear my idea and hopefully implement it sometime soon. I love your game and if need be I'll just have to get used to the blade dancer or the void walker subclasses. You helped gunslingers pve with the Celestial Nighthawk. Titans could use a little pvp help too. Sincerely Mystical Snurtle SHORT VERSION Most of us already know that for that amount of time it takes to cool down, that blink is the best ability in the game. You can disorient your opponents and gain precious seconds to kill your opponent. In rare cases you can even avoid damage completely in cases where you would of died without it. EX. Rockets, supers... However that being said it does take a bit of skill to use properly. The problem is Titans don't get this option. Those who use Titans have to switch over to hunter or warlock to get this choice. The most common reason I heard that Titans shouldn't get blink is that 'Blink is not Titan'. Your right blink isn't titan. However shoulder charge is. Shoulder charge is already similar to blink. The only flaw is that it has a windup time to use. During this windup time titans are incredibly vulnerable, especially on maps without a lot of cover. A good fix would be to make the shoulder charge instant. No windup time. However in the interest of balance it would have to have the power of an uncharged melee or less. It would not be able to be strung together like blink can. It would have to be an option to replace storm fist. It would also have to have a 5-7 second cool down like blink strike. However to remain worthwhile it would have to be able to be used even when no targets are present. (hitting air). On the initial basic jump pressing the melee button would cause you to travel in the momentum of your character (similar to blink). However you wouldn't be able to use shoulder charge during the glide portion of your jump. Implementing this as an exotic would be an easy way not to step on anyone's toes. This is the bare bones version. For more details read from the top and my replies in the comments section.
