Crucible suggestion- Gun Diversity

Alright, so this is a big topic that will probably spark arguments for both sides of the idea. I want to say here that I don't want any hostility on this. Honestly. Anyway. There's a big issue with gun diversity in the Crucible. What I mean? Thorn, Red Death. Anything that is considered the games Meta is much too overused. I have an idea that could drastically flood the game with diversity. 1). Return Auto Rifles to their former glory. -Nobody wants to use one anymore. And with a resurrection of their power, that's a whole new category of weapons people will open back up to for use. This is without altering the damage modifiers of other weapons. 2). Game and time limits on META weapons -This is the argument bit, the idea of this is that after a couple of games, weapons such as the thorn, Truth, Red Death, Last Word and most of the Exotic weapons have a 2/3 game use, with a 1-2 hour or 3-5 game cool down. 3). Not all weapons are effected at the same time -If you use the Thorn and it goes on a cooldown, you could switch and use The Last Word for however many games you have it. -But if a weapon is on it's cool down, it has a game and clock timer, so if the player wanted to take a break from the crucible the timer would continue to tick down. -This is only for the Crucible, PvE situations are fairly balanced as is, players have divulged in the varieties of weapons the game. The focus By doing this players cannot limit themselves to the "Overpowered" weapons in the game. They have to use legendary and other types of equipment. This opens up new playing fields and would give some life back in the Crucible where I've sadly deemed it a dull game type. Which, being is the Majority of the game, is unfortunate. So anyway. That's a rough draft, feel free to add on or even add your input, I don't want any mud slinging comments. This is to make the Crucible better, not to sap the fun away from anyone else.

  • Want to create diversity? Outaide of iron banner disable all perks on guns, regulate all damage/range/stability and so on to the weapon archtype. Now we have every gun being identical to those around it, what makes and will make the game balance non existent is the sheer amount of variables tied to easy gun. With 2 (almost) random perks and a choice of 3 for general stat improvement there will always be a gun or two which beat all other variants of its archtype.
