  • Baseball? You made a post about BASEBALL? The age of Baseball has long past. It's no longer the American Pastime. Football (American) is taking that spot. I mean -- the day of Ken Griffey Jr. and Frank Thomas was the beginning of the end. Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire, and Barry Bonds and all the other steroid heads were the most popular stars in the late 80's early 90's. And they're pretty sad human beings. The last true baseball hero was Nolan Ryan in my opinion. That and a 108 MPH fastball gets my respect. But Baseball as we knew it is no more.

I love bareball more, I don't think McGwire was juiced up on steroids. He did Andro and although he did, I still think he was an amazing player and a good role model. Also you really can't trust anything Jose Canseco says, Canseco's just a moron. There are still baseball heroes that make great role models though, people such as John Smoltz.
