Rivet guns firing off, drills digging into metal, and plasma cutters slicing off scraped wings. Stepping into the moonlight, the Guardian entered the Tower plaza. He needn't look far for a certain Awoken. Master statues Cryptarch and renown prankster Rahool. With Henki floating above his head Worgen approached the man who he sought out. Master Rahool sat behind his stand while reading an old book a team of Guardians found in Dead Rome. The cracking leather was stamped with an old and fading six pointed star. Once he was before the red draped kiosk the Worgen tapped on the hard table where the Master had placed his feet. Yellow eyes blinked up from the dirty, faded pages and toward the grey face before him. A large blue optical point also hovering close to his face. Rahool leaped up to his feet with a wide smile. “Hunter!” His voice filled with excitement and teeth shining off the full moon. “Have you come to look at all the newest items? I team of fellow Guardians discovered lost tomes from Dead Rome. Rather a remarkable read.” “I’m good Master Rahool.” Worgen rose his hand and gave it a small wave to show to dismiss Rahool’s attempts. In the same motion Worgen signaled Henki to materialize the Fallen case in front of Rahool. “Back on Venus me and Henki found this. Truly a one-of-a-kind item.” The Guardian opened the case for Rahool. The Fallen sword laid there in the moonlight as the Exo, Ghost, and Awoken looked upon it. “It appears to be a prototype weapon the Fallen have. What you think?” “I think this is a wonderful find!” The Cryptarch clapped his blue hands before taking hold of the weapon. He examined it and found the markings both strange and compelling. A sudden alarm rang when Worgen stepped into the hall holding the mentors. He could see Commander Zavala and Ikora Rey frantically giving orders to Frames. Who in turn began running off towards bright and flashing monitor displays. Cayde-6 peered over towards Worgen in the midst of the chaos and called him over. “Hunter! Come receive orders!” “What in the world is going on?” Worgen cried out over the alarms as he approached his mentor. Henki and Cayde-6’s Ghost traded information as their Guardians began discussing the current situation. “Is the City under attack? Is there some new threat?” After just getting home after a week in the field, Worgen was not feeling ready for an attack on the City. “One more bizarre than we could have imagined.” The fellow Exo said before turning to a monitor and displaying Mars on it. Meridian Bay was full of activity with Guardians storming the Vex warp gate that was said to have held the Black Heart. Of all things it was the Cabal defending the Vex-made portal. “Somehow, we don’t know how, the Cabal have managed to gain access to the Black Garden.”
