Toxic Community Members
Can we just have a mass purge on all of the Toxic community members. Bungie swing your banhammer away.
-Hate Topics.
-Troll Topics.
-Disrespectful Topics.
-Topics That Bash Destiny/Parts Of it.
Comment if you have any others, the constant negativity of this community is really ruining the forums. I come on here every now and then just to see all the posts be "Blah blah blah, this community member is annoying" - "This part of destiny sucks" - "Nerf this and nerf these because im a troll" - "So and So is Annoying"
We didnt tolerate a Toxic community back in the halo days so why is the Destiny forums just full of Toxic players.
Edit: Thanks to everyone for getting peoples attention. This is one of my most successful topics. Lets hope Bungie might actually do something about the personal attacks and blantant disregard for others because there is no punishments.

Whilst I don't enjoy toxic engagement I believe that provided a post meets the CoC and etiquette rules its permitted. A discussion within the agreed rules of engagement is central to developing relationships and new ideas.

People have the right to talk about the flawed aspects of Destiny. This encourages improvement of the game and it's great for everyone. It's when those same people are annoying little twats about it in all caps, relentlessly demanding Xûr to sell a Gjallarhorn, claiming that HoW is a terrible expansion with no raid, demanding optional matchmaking, demanding trading. A lot of the top community representatives of Destiny say that this game has the best community they've ever seen. From first glance at the forums, I don't see it.

Banning is ridiculous overkill. Muting works much better. That way each of us can decide who is toxic separately, and not depend on the judgment of some near-minimum wage earner.

I imagine if there are enough negative reports on certain player posts or responses that they will get banned, if the behavoir is bad enough than not just from the forums but from the game as well. Remember that not all hate is bad, you can be critical as long as you don't cross the line. Problem is that people will have to participate in policing the forums. The report feature is there for a reason and those with the hammer need to use it.

[/quote] Troll topics, troll comments and hateful comments suck and need to go, but this is feedback, where people can say what they like or don't like about the game, its not meant for people to disrespect people for saying what parts of the game suck or need serious work. This game is not perfect and if it wasn't shredded to pieces months before the release people might not feel so let down.
