New approach to weapon damage

Greetings All I'm proposing a new approach to weapon damage. I believe that changing the damage from 331 or 365 to a better system to weapon type. That of course requires actually setting somewhat realistic damages to weapons and setting a standard of max weapon damage by tiers. For example; Heavy Launchers do the most ex 750 exotics, 700 legiondary, 600, rare, 550 uncommon , 500 common Machine guns second ex 700 exotics 650 legiondary and down the line Special Snipers, Fusion and, shotguns ex 600 exotics, 550 legiondary etc Primary (split due to larger rounds in Scout and Hand Cannons apparently being 50 cal pistol) Scout rifles, Hand cannons 500 exotics, 450 legiondary etc Pulse, and Automatics 450 exotics, 400 legiondary etc I believe this gives a far more realistic approach to weapon damage then a Monty Carlo and a Gally each being 331 damage when clearly you could dump the entire backpack into something and still not doing the same damage as one round of the Gally. I believe that this would be far more realistic and remove the unrealistic expectation that impact alone is what gets the job done. Hand Cannons are completely OP. The only thing that keeps people using them is because they are entirely OP. The limited magazine, small back pack, and single round per trigger pull don't make them sexy. The fact that they are the second most powerful weapons in the game keep people using them. What we have right now is the cruci-crybabies have bitched their way to wrecking the game both PvE and PvP because they got killed by something that wasn't a hand cannon in the crucible. It couldn't be because that guy had a better connection or they were better it was the OP weapon he was using. I love this game, it is crazy fun to play and better with friends. Sure there are simple changes I would love made to increase the experience and make things better for everyone playing. Please Bungie read this over and take the changes to heart.

  • Auto rifles need to be put back the way before the nerf. pistols need to have there range nerfed not damage.that should balance it out some.

  • -blam!- balance. you don't like getting killed by a hand cannon? use a damn hand cannon and fight back guardian. quit bitching about weapons and damage. its a MMORPGFPS.... GET USED TO IT! don't got the weapon? that sucks. its called a vex mythoclast and exotic for a reason. its supposed to be OP... thats why its the only gun of its class in the game. retards

  • The attack is a stat that is compared with the target defence for how much damage is migitated by the armor. Impact is the "real" damage. In pvp attack and defence have no effect except in IB As for handcannons being op they are risk and reward guns. You need precise hits to kill. Missing one shot from a handcannon is like missing 5 shots with autoriffle in a row. Like it says in the grimmoire card of a hawkmoon " every shot counts.. some more than others" There are only 2 hand cannons that can kill with 2 shots and they are Hawkmoon and Thorn. Thorn kills you with 2 head shots thanks to the burn effect and hawkmoon if you get lucky and get the 2 shots to the head while one of the shots being lucky crit bullets. I have heard that if you are really lucky you can kill with 1 hawkmoon shot if all the lucky rounds proc to the same shot but thats really unpredictable
