Can Silimar's Wrath get some Love?
Check this out:
Every IB weapon that I have seen, (haven't seen Perun's Fire, or the Pulse) has fit very snugly into the High Impact archetype for each of their respective weapons. (Blast Radius on Rhadeghast's)
Who's smart idea was it to go the opposite direction with a sexy auto rifle? It should be noted by Bungie that this is a ridiculous design flaw from whoever decides the numbers for these things.
The IB Weapons should be the top-tier legendaries for each respective weapon type, and as we all know, the Similar's Wrath is not that way. It in fact should be reworked to be more along the lines of Shadow Price or the Vanquisher, or to be bold, SUROS.
I'd love to see what everyone else thinks, and who knows, maybe someone over there at Bungie will see the error in their ways (doubt it)
I now know that Perun's Fire is of the Fast Charge Rate variety of Fusions, which just goes to show (in my opinion) that these weapons are indeed for PvP. What do we generally look for in Fusions anyway?
[spoiler]TL:DR - Silimar's Wrath doesn't fit the high impact precedent that every other IB weapon has followed, and should be re-worked to reflect this.[/spoiler]

I just got Silimar's Wrath and was utterly disappointed when I saw the impact. There should be a reforge option that increases impact on some level, if not a full remake of the gun. Auto rifles have gone from top gun to bottom gun if you're asking me. Have hardly seen any usage of them anymore thanks to updates, at least in PvP.

It's actually not bad it does what it's supposed to lol I kick some assistance with it here and there if they higher the impact I'm afraid of the fire rate will be what the suros is and I really don't want a slow shooting auto rifle I mean if u can hit the guy your doing 12 damage to head 19 to body and the highest fire rate possible

3 RepliesThe pulse is low impact like the timepiece or OE but the perks can fix that. And plus a low impact pulse is still miles ahead of a low impact auto. But yeah I agree with your post.

2 RepliesEdited by flynner19: 5/4/2015 7:03:09 PMI dont normally use ar much but I think I got a decent roll on a silimars that dropped for me - it has Persistence Counterbalance Grenadier I normally rock a build with high grenade charge so this is good for me. But overall the ar as a group feel extremely underpowered. Especially the high rof low impact class. I really dont understand bungies decision to do that with the ib auto, all other IB guns hit like trucks I have gheleons Felwinter Radegasts Jolder's Silimars Timurs Efrideets Out of all of them I feel that the auto silimars wrath is the worst even with a good roll. Next iron banner hopefully will be the pulse rifle as that's my favourite weapon type. Hopefully it won't be a hose like silimar

Have to agree the impact is low for an IB weapon. Saying that I rolled mine a few times and got a roll I'm happy with for the moment, and it did alright in IB last night.

I like it but it definitely needs more damage. 1 and a half clips against majors is too much.

The only problem with it is that you absolutely have to roll counter balance and perfect balance for it to be somewhat controllable. With this roll though, it does have an equal footing against pretty much all other primaries (except a really good TLW/Thorn, but they were gonna beat you anyways)

3 RepliesGot my wrath early in the IB this time around. Decided to re-roll it a couple of times to see if I could make it better. Got counter balance/perfect balance/rangefinder after only a couple tries! That probably as good as I can make it. Now it can collect dust in the vault because you're absolutely right, its still a bad option in every possible scenario.

6 RepliesI just think all of the auto rifles of this type are complete trash. The fact that nobody uses it goes to show that this weapon is just not good. I got killed by Hard Light once this Iron Banner, it was embarrassing but I was one shot from death anyways. If you like these kinds of weapons, to each his own, but for me, I don't like to have to shoot enemy players with a ton of unpredictable spraying bullets.

I used mines a little in IB. Mines has counter balance and fitted stock along with grenadier. It's bad in 1v1 gunfights seeing as there are guns like Thorn, TLW, Red Death, Suros and so on. But running behind a teammate shooting enemies together, you'll pick up assist and kills very easy. I've averaged around 18+ kills a game in Iron Banner using the gun. Played 7 games with it. Wasn't negative once. The gun does need some reworking though.

You make an excellent point. I got rid of mine because it's like using a water hose full of holes. I can't stand low impact high ROF ARs.
