1 rank up all factions, vanguard and crucible to get packages, over and over.
2 Right before launch, you'll want all of them very close to leveling up. Within one patrol is best. Just switch factions between missions.
3 Don't open your packages yet. The xp will help you level your new gear.
4 Collect ,complete and hold onto all 5000 pt bounties. Don't use them until youre wearing your new gear.
5 max your crucible and vanguard marks.
6 Don't use your commendations unless you need to. If you have a stack of them, it could get you a package or two, with new gear.
7 Grab any vendor gear you've been looking at early, as it could change this time. Make sure to max your marks again.
8 Level up everything. It doesn't look like we have to start over this time.
9. Farm glimmer. You'll need a lot of it. You can save the ax beads and other items worth glimmer in your vault to cash in later, or simply wait and sell your shards. We may not need as much as TDB, because our exotics won't start over.
10 Save some upgrade materials for your new gear.
Once the dlc drops, you run a couple of patrols to get your new packages and burn your commendations. You see what you get and use marks to buy the rest. Then, you open your old packages and claim the bounties you have to level your new gear. This should give you a slight edge on leveling up.
If you're going for materials, you could save your packages from public events. They give motes, shards and energies. Most ppl have way too many of these, so, I don't recommend it.
I'm not going to do any of this
Edited by TheGodAmongMen: 4/27/2015 2:23:37 PMMost important thing is: Do the story first on each character to unlock the nightfall. Then do the nightfall ASAP, the rep bonus should apply to the commendations. Currently working on getting my factions to just before a level -_-. after that its all about getting my crucible marks up to max, my van marks will be there from heroics and nightfalls alone so no big deal.
