I thought about this and I can see the pros and cons about this idea what's your opinion

I wouldn't mind giving up my chance for certain drops or chances for drops in general at checkpoints during raids or endgame stuff. So say at the Templar fight, once we beat him whatever may have dropped for me goes to someone else. This way I don't end up with multiple ones if I don't want them and they can potentially be had by someone who hasn't gotten and is looking for one. I feel it would be a good middle ground between the two sides. That or a less fun way is being able to trade right then and there during raids. Only things I would agree with, still kinda keeps the earned it feeling while helping others I'd say.

I think you should be able to trade materials and items. For example: Strange coins, weapon parts, Plasteel Plating, Helium Filaments and Motes of Light players who trade have to be apart of your fireteam Perhaps trade rare weapons and armour to players who meet the level of that item and have to be in your fireteam also. Legendary Weapons and Armour nah, defeats the whole object of grinding for them.

If the game was done right, which it isn't, i would say yes.

I see the pros and cons to it. Those who are MMORPG fans may agree to a trade system. Generally because they know how the trade system works and how in most mmos you still have to grind for that end game gear. But its no use explaining that here most who say no are mindless zombies stuck in there world of I MUST GRIND 100000000000000 MORE HOURS TO GET THIS. Which is totally fine for that end game stuff. But for stuff like shards and energy and simple common stuff. Let us trade that. Keep exotics account bound or character bound. It wont hurt trading common items or stuff that can be purchased from vendors. BUT then again, this is console. Console is limited with the amount of stuff that can be done and destiny is pretty large as it is. Oh well! Pc master race FTW!!!

Most say no. As usual
-
Yes but only in reward windows such as nightfall or check points in raids and only the best you've just been awarded
-
There could be a exchange system: trade a legendary item for another, an exoti fir another exotic. And there should be a high "tax" for any trade like 20.000 glimmer.
-
Simple solution. You can only trade items from activities you've done with players in that session. So you do a raid, get shards but needed boots, you trade your shards for the boots with the guy who doesnt need boots. Once out of the activity no more trading. This helps people get what they want yet makes it so people cant abuse it. (At least I think so)

Tbh implementing a trading system in the game where you would be able to trade exotics or legendaries would in my opinion kinda ruin the game. For example I my self am haunted by the ice breaker and keep getting it over and over again, and then I find someone who needs the icebreaker desperatley and is willing to give me a vex mythoclast for it. If that was to happen soon people would stop playing the game because after getting all the exotics and raid gear there isn't rly much to do imo.

Who ever said yes doesn't have gjallerhorn
-
I'm okay with it, but I don't think exotics should be traded.
-
There's no way you Should be able to give people free exotics plain and simple
-
They need to make a system, so you cant just give them a bunch of exotics at level 20, but you can still trade between people
-
I want a ghorn, but not a broken game
-
I would like all exotics, but not at the cost of trading. I honestly think a trading system would ruin the Destiny experience.
-
Depends on how it would be implemented. Full blown trading? No. Trading raid drops with people we raided with before leaving the raid? Possibly, if they limited it to only items obtained in the raid you just ran, and limited it to one trade per character per week.

Edited by LMBKMA: 4/25/2015 10:30:20 PMIt will take the excitement out of finally getting it and will shorten the game. It sucks but it is so true, eventually the items will drop! I for one wouldn't be upset either way, just putting it out there.
-
There already is trading for exotics. Motes or coins for weapons, armor, and engrams.

Pretty much every casual player would want trading. The destiny forums aren't an accurate depiction of the community.
-
A trading system would be awesome because it would really bind the community together. Glimmer could have a bigger role and not be capped. Everything could be worth a certain amount of glimmer? Ghorn worth 100k glimmer could only be traded for items or glimmer worth no less than 95% of what a ghorn is worth. So someone with 2 patience and time and 50k glimmer could trade for a ghorn. Strange coins worth 1k glimmer, motes 3k glimmer. I just think a trading system could transform this game into something better. Why limit this beautiful game? Go all out, become the best most unique console game out there, a true mmorpg fps

I don't think it rele needs a trade system it's not borderlands, there's a limited number if weapons to collect.
-
It would make this somewhat pointless game, totally pointless.
-
Jerk offs would find a way to RMT trading and ruin things. Trading isn't in the cards for Destiny.
-
No, because part of developing your guardian is putting in the game time to get the gear. Trading offers the option to negate this idea from a "play to win" mentality to a "pay to win". People would boost like they do with the thorn and just give their friends a gally for 1000glimmer or some lame crap like that.
-
No. Pay to win sucks.
