Bungie put sniper rifles in the game for a reason. Bungie designed the terrain with snipers in mind. Every area on every major pve map has an accessible sniping spot. Since the first rifled barrel military forces have used range and cover to defend and to attack. Modern day sniper rifles have effective ranges over thousands of yards if the terrain is right. So I'm not understanding all the hate. Sniping isn't cheeseing or cheating it's part of gameplay. I know realistically enemies would take cover & also not remain in the same spot, but the problem there lies in the Ai & coding, not the sniper. And why should it bother anyone if I want to spend an hour killing things with Ice Breaker as long as I'm not holding up or slowing down a fireteam? I plan on soloing nightfall three times this week.
