Awful stretch of games in PvP
Does anyone else have stretches, and I mean pretty long stretches, of just being awful in the Crucible? I consider myself to be a pretty decent PvP player, and when I look at my last 20 games there are usually only 3 or 4 where my K/D ratio is under 1.0. But my goodness the last couple of days I have just flat out SUCKED. I looked at my last 20 games and it's not pretty at all, I think 10 of them were not only under 1.0 but under 1.0 by a lot lol. Fortunately my K/D hasn't dropped from 1.11 which I am trying sooo hard to bring up to 1.65.
I just run into games where I can't drop anyone to save my life. I get them down to a tick of health before I drop, or I'll kill someone and immediately get killed from my flank, or I get someone who one hits me with Felwinters when I didn't even see them coming on my radar. Just seems like everything that could go my way, doesn't. God forbid I have a rocket launcher bounty, which blows because I am awful with them for whatever reason.
So make me feel better guys. Tell me I'm not the only one who goes through really bad stretches and it seems like everything goes in the enemy's way and not yours.

2 RepliesI get short bad spells...nothing that lasts for days. I usually just keep playing through my own tears until I start doing better again. I'm stubborn like that. Do you stop or keep playing when you start sucking?

It's not really your fault. Pvp is an unbalanced mess and there's little you can do about it. I just use my go to loadout until I feel comfortable or whatever

Use a proximity rocket launcher. the only time I miss is when I go full dumb ass and hit the wall or when they blink at the perfect time.

Sometimes after playing a while you make stupid choices in a blind trance. Happens to everybody in fps, Idk about 20 games straight tho lmao

Have you seen my record ?. It's the longest stretch ever as I've never been good in the crucible.

Hey, this game is laggy as hell. Sometimes that's how it goes.

Sometimes you need to leave the lobby because the game is simply pairing you up with the same horrible players over and over against partially pre-made groups. If that doesn't work then you should consider taking a break from Crucible. Maybe a day without will clear your mind and you'll see what you're doing wrong.

ill have a few bad games, but what really stretches out for long periods of time is the lag

When this happens I change weapons and tactics and run away. Basically just relax and things will start going your way. Usually when you have a bad run it's due to meeting players who play slightly differently to what you're used to. Or rather it does for me. Evaluate what they do and try to counter it. Mind you. If they're running around as a team and your team isn't helping then you're fresh outta luck.

8 RepliesIf you are using hand cannon that could be it. There are reports of shots not registering as hits. I have not experienced it personally but have read a few posts on forums with a good bit of replies claiming this.

I swear in that last update they messed with the aim assist on hand cannons I keep missing ridiculously easy to make shots

Edited by KidSixXx: 4/22/2015 2:40:09 PMHad a rough patch last night. Chased a third win for my bounty for nearly an hour. Whenever the slump kicks in, I either PvP with another character or just PvE for a while. Sometimes simply changing my emblem puts me in a better frame of mind.

Usually if I'm not playing well I try to use different weapons and it usually works.

Sometimes I know I just have the wrong load out and I'm already in a bad way once changed, others are bad team mates or more organised other team so two or three are attacking at the same time, but most are I'm just generally playing awful. Recent worst has been a KD of .17, which unfortunately had not been my worst ever, but was the worst since Sept before I knew the game and the maps well. Weirdly I wasn't a special spammer so it definitely isn't that. It might just be the influx of TLWs and a revived Vex or slight changes to my normal weapons used (hawkmoon was preferred option) but I have definitely hit a slump with the occasional high rather then the reverse.

about 3-4 days ago i hopped on Destiny to play some crucible on my warlock, (yes im a heavy shotgun blinking ninja lock, dont hate the player, hate the game.) and i dont notice a difference in capabilities in this game at all, if anything it seemed completely unchanged, other than the less shotgun ammo lying around. still seems like i dont have to worry about finding any, they seem to appear at a good enough respawn rate.

I had a terrible time last night. My KD is bad already, but last night was even worse.

Crucible is like bowling for me... I'm really good for the first hour then it all goes downhill. Idk how people can stand playing it for hours on end.
