So last night I made a monumental decision. I deleted all but one of my three classes. All my different classes were fully upgraded to level 32 and all had maxed weapons. I enjoyed all classes equally so the decision to choose just one was difficult.
I made this decision based on real life and obtaining a good balance. I like playing playing destiny but it can be a chore with 3 classes. Now I have just one I can enjoy playing and also have more time for other more social activities.
I thought I'd be devastated. I do in fact feel liberated and the shackles of the destiny grind have been released (by two thirds)
i kept my Titan
It can be a chore? I can get everything done in 2-3 days easily I don't think there's enough.
-
That's cool but just out of curiosity why not just play one class per week? That way you could essentially keep all your characters but lessen the amount of play time.
-
*Reads spoiler* Good man!
-
You state your characters were 32 and had maxed weapons, which leads us to believe you deleted your gear and guns. Yet you say in the comments you kept all your exotics and gear. Ladies and gentlemen, another misleading post. You didn't delete 2 level 32 characters, you deleted 2 level 20 characters.
-
I would have kept my titan too. Good choice
-
A couple of weeks ago, I deleted all 3 of my level 31 characters and all the exotics and gear too. I did keep the materials and strange coins though. I missed the excitement of getting something new and leveling up. I just felt stuck at 31 because the raids never work out for me and I suck at PVP.
-
WTH?? You do know that you don't have ANY obligation to play on either of your other classes. You could have just kept them and just played on your titan. Seriously. You should have thought this through a bit more.
-
Why not just play one? Seems odd to lose all those hours for absolutely nothing at all.
-
That how I felt when I decided to play some bioshock infinite and lay off Destiny for a few days.
-
Noooooooooooo! We can't handle another hunter dead!
-
It's difficult with 2 characters and ice only had the second upgrqded for the past two weeks i wanna play my warlock not titan
-
Did you save all the armour? Or is it a clean break? ☺
-
I tried having two, but I prefer one. One play style allows true mastery and understanding of the class. I may just delete my other character because I don't play it. I don't buy from Xur so what's the point in multiple Weeklies, I have horrible luck, so what's the point of multiple Nightfalls, and raids just take forever.
-
If i delete a class and make a duplicate class, then i will immediately regret deleting the class.
-
I would have just kept them as extra storage space and stopped playing on them. To each their own. Real life is, and has always been, better than gaming. I game in the mornings on weekends, and sometimes after work for an hour or so on the weekdays. Summer is upon us too and trips to the mountains/beach/racetrack/offroad park are about to move up the priority list.

Yeh. I've been picking one character, and main it for a month. Maybe get bounties done 4x's a week, work on that character's faction rep and run strikes. Then after 3-4 weeks I switch off to a different character. Of course I always run the Nightfall, Heroics and raids on all 3 characters. But I also live in the middle of nowhere and it's unlikely I'll find many people my age to make friendly with, so I've got plenty of time. (Which is fine)
-
Did you keep me?
excellent choice, good sir
Chore? You could keep those two just for nightfalls/raids. It's not like they are blocking any space... I think it was a stupid decision if all were 32s, but if it's what you want...
-
That makes no sense lol. Having three characters doesn't mean you have to do everything three times. It simply means you have the option to. So now you have less storage space, and no longer get to play the other classes when you want. You done goofed it kid.
-
Did you at least keep the gear?
-
I started a Titan and am level 10 and I agree, unlike replaying other games leveling him up in this one is a chore.
-
This game was an addiction. You are now winning. Congrats.
