State what you think is wrong with PVP.
This isn't about weapon balance. This is about everything other than damage on weapons. It can be about how perks influence gameplay. This is not a nerf thread. This is about WHY there are things wrong with PVP, and what Bungie needs to do to fix it. So state what you think is wrong. But if for you it's about a weapon and how it dominates, then create a weapon thread. Cause this isn't about weapons that dominate in PVP. It's about what's wrong with it. Peace.

When it comes to variants, I'd like to see a "halo" styled variant. Only able to choose from one HC, one scout, one pulse rifle, one shotgun, one sniper, one fusion rifle, one MG, and one RC. None of them having perks. No supers. People want a more balanced PVP ? That's the way to go. That's why Halo's PVP was arguably one of the most balanced PVP games I'VE played. Not saying there isn't any other PVP games that are more balanced. Just going from my own experience. It would put everyone on the same leveled playing field. There's to much relying on supers and perks at the moment. While it makes PVP somewhat unique and kind of interesting, it destroys the possibility of balance. Not only that, but you have to rely on RNG for perks. Some players have an automatic disadvantage just because RNG doesn't work in their favor compared to others.

I think op summed it up pretty well. Another issue is that NF and faction packages allow you to get crucible and faction gear. Often with better rolls. Iron banner offered solid rewards and look how popular that event was.

I think the biggest problem with PvP is they keep touching it. I could understand a weapon balance maybe once or twice a year but this game has been out 7 months and I've lost count of how many times an update has significantly changed the flow of the crucible.

What's wrong with PvP in Destiny is that it exists.

Crucible should be removed Only solution. Get with it.

Well, I can tell you one thing: changing the special ammo spawn did very little to change player behavior vis-à-vis shotties. Even on maps with some open space, people just congregate near closed-in corners of each map, and cluster around special ammo crates (not even that often since there is still more than enough special ammo to go around). In the end, running shotguns is just too useful the way the game is set up right now and the kind of maps available for Crucible. Not that I am complaining, just that if that was the sole purpose of that change, I haven't noticed any huge change in how the game is played. I just ran into a team that had three or four guys all with snipers aimed into the cave in the middle in the Shores of Time, so not sure it did anything to change snipers either. In the end, if they want less blamfests, they are going to have to fix OP shotties, not limit special ammo.

If 1 person in the game lags, everybody teleports halfway over maps and snipes with shotguns. The rewards are abysmal for the time it takes for a game: a Roc strike guarantees me at least 1 engram, I can (and will) get nothing from Crucible. Crucible players affect PvE players negatively: ARs...? You must have the carbon-copy style to do well: HC and shotgun. Small maps punish long range weapons.
