Just my thoughts on how this could work.
Put a sign-up board in the Tower, split between VOG/Crota and also into categories, Casual/Serious/Family/etc. When six names are on a list for a category they are joined into a fireteam.
It would open up a way for those that don't venture to online forums and LFG sites a way to play Raids and make some new friends in the process.
It'd be hit and miss and designating the Fireteam leader could be an issue.
Anyone got any alterations they would suggest?

I totally agree with this, all my friends are asleep when im on and as you can see...im a lvl 31 and have never finished a raid for that exact reason. Lfg parties fall apart so yea, this idea is MUCH needed.

Edited by Sachairi: 4/17/2015 4:13:45 AMYeah sure why not. So long as the options are as varied and specific as the Planet Destiny LFG I would love to see an LFG in game.

No it wouldn't be a good idea for one we have the forums correct? Recruitment post are all over the joint, if they had matchmaking for RAIDS it wouldn't be good, you would have lvl 28's in the CROTA fight on normal. The whole team might run for the sword, they might not talk / join party, they will not shoot the boss or even help in that manner, it's not a bad idea but Why would they do that if the forums work just as well. +If you get a full team of lvl 28 on CROTA normal they won't be able to damage him at all. And VoG don't even get me started with that.

Edited by nemanel21: 4/16/2015 4:00:16 PMThis would be good I think. Honestly, I don't see why there isn't matchmaking as is. "The raids require communication and teamwork" -So require the microphone to be on. "LFG would bring under leveled players, dooming the party to failure from the start" -Make the minimum levels in LFG the max light score with Vanguard or Crucible gear. That way, the people entering LFG are people who at the very least, were interested enough to raise their light score to the pre-raid maximum. "Matchmaking would force Bungie to lower the difficulty of raids" -The difficulty of raids is figuring out where to go and what to do while being rushed by enemies. Once you have that down, there isn't much difficulty involved. Furthermore, both raids have been soloed on hard mode. Can you really tell me that a group of randoms couldn't pull it off after a few tries? "Destiny is an MMO and lone wolves are antisocial" -Actually, I have no problem socializing. In fact, I enjoy it quite a bit. But I object to the necessity of scheduling MY free time around the schedules of five other people. LFG would let me sit down and play when I want to. Honestly, the lack of matchmaking feels like an artificial attempt to make raids more imposing than they are. But. That's just me. I enjoy Destiny and will continue to play it on and off (gotta separate some time for Witcher 3!!!!) through all the dlc, expansions and sequels. I just wish that I could raid on my terms.

Sounds better than what's offered now

Bump, optional matchmaking would be GREAT
-
No i dont like matchmaking I can usually 2-man CE faster then with 6. And then i HAVE to play with them. And offcourse there would be always that 1 guy level 27 on a level 30 raid with no mic and no experience.
-
No because then you'd have weak ass players trying to get carried through
-
Optional matchmaking for the bump
-
Make a level requirement/level 30 or 31, but seriously how does this sound, " so here's our new game destiny, oop ya gotta go to another party's site to play the best part of it" thats just laughable to me, good thing somebody saw a wise investment in creating the lfg site

I like and second your idea cause i am one of those who tend to not go to forums cause when i do i never get any reply.
-
Il agrée with this idea. A sort of schedul of raid could be good for standard players who don't have time to Built a big staff. And a good compromise between nothing and an automatique match making.

Great idea.
