Official Haiku Thread, Now with Haiku battles!
This thread is a place for the flood to relax and read some haiku. Get a mug of hot chocolate, a warm blanket, a fireplace and get cozy!
[b]Haiku's may be about anything[/b]
Haiku's can be funny, serious, beautiful or just plain stupid. As long as it fits the format it is allowed in this thread.
For those who do no know the form of a haiku is
5 syllables in the first line
7 syllables in the second
And 5 in the last
Haiku's can deviate a bit from this pattern but this is the usual format.
Please do not insult others poetry.
Examples:
This one's straight from the head of sixth grade me. (That guy was weird)

As he chomps down on your head
Sheldon's a zombie[/spoiler]
Not mine but it's a classic
[spoiler]haiku's are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense
Refrigerator[/spoiler]
Here's another
[spoiler]Make haiku's now guys
Do what you do best my friends
Call me a fgt[/spoiler]
The best shall be copy and pasted up here, (with credit of course)
Please do not take credit for a poem you did not create.
[b]Haiku battles![/b] They're like rap battles, but lamer! If you want to participate in one simply make a post asking people to challenge you! Or you can just ask someone to battle with you!
