Why should anyone in my raid group play the new expansion?

I have a group of friends that I play this game with. We would be considered by many as a "raid group" since we group together with six people we know and do raids. With the announcement that there will be no raid and the new "end game" content(or whatever you want to call it at this point) will only be with three people, why should my group even bother getting it? We play the parts of the game other than the raids in order to level up gear in order to play the raids in order to get raid gear. I am sure we are not the only group of players doing this. If there is no six player activity in the new expansion what should motivate us to play it? Yes, there will be new weapons and content. So what? So we can go back and do the same two raids together that we have all done hundreds of times? That seems a bit pointless to me and several other people that I have spoken to. Several of my raid buddies and I haven't actually played the game in over a month because we were tired of the same raiding over and over again, so we figured we would take a break and come back refreshed with the new raid. Unfortunately for us there is nothing for us to do together with the new content. I honestly do not care that there is not a raid. I care that there is not a new PvE element that I can play with five of my friends. I am earnestly asking this question... I am not trying to bash the game at this point... I just want to know why we(as a group that plays this game to get together as friends online) should buy a product that does not allow us to play it together. I would like all the feedback possible for this from players and employees alike. Thank you for your time.
