The new update isn't as bad as people were -blam!-ing about, I think its an imporvement

In a game that has MORE than twice the maps of Halo 1 and a little more than Halo 2, I expect a lot less tediousness...and it breaks my heart. Then..you promised me candy, chocolate, and a love letter in the form of Title Update 2...promising me that with the new ranking system and new variations of Epitaph, (Because we all need to play MORE Epitaph obviously) that I will come back to you through a field of flowers and glomp into your arms. But...I've got to be truthful with myself Bungie..and I love you but...this new Title Update 2 just ISN'T working for me. If I don't gain experience to try to promote myself to the next level, what's the point of sugar-coating my loss of 3rd place in Swords, if I becomea Recruit ALL OVER AGAIN? It's like you said to me "So sorry you didn't get first place, but you played so well we're giving you a VIRIDIAN CITY BADGE! I mean, a RECRUIT promotion!". I love you Bungie...I really do, but...I find this effort fruitless really when in the long run....there is NOTHING new to playing online with other competitors. It's bad enough that 80% of the population is full of cockbites that are so egotistical they had no room for their -blam!-es and that they mar the experience by saying "Oh my God, it's a Commander, i'm so afraid!". It's worse when they're STILL PLAYING HALO 3 and haven't been dealt with. Oh, and Bungie, we could care less about your updates where you went golfing or how Shiska (Who the -blam!- is he anyway?) smiled by the creation of the Banhammer. That being said, good job on the metaphors just to sugarcoat in saying "We're just going to be harder on banning people but won't tell you how so we'll write 3 paragraphs on how we'll do it." I am a player that needs substance in my life, my love, and you're just not giving it to me anymore. As if it wasn't enough, you haven't shown much love to my Spartan-in-training, Megan, who wants to experience the intense, awesomeness of fighting online, without the -blam!-ed players downplaying her skill level, by doing almost NOTHING with the ranking system! You still have to win a match to get ONE SINGLE POINT of experience? Why couldn't you follow the example of other FPS multiplayer games where it's easier to rank up and get better? When there is a double EXP of shotty snipes the population is through the roof. Some people may not agree with putting it in as a playlist but why cant you guys put it as a ranked varient for the people who want to play it

Alrighty, then! I've read on this topic since it was available to do so. Here's what I think: First of all: Thank you, Bungie! You've made a great game, and I respect the fact that you've continued to work on a game, you could've just let go as is. I highly anticipate the Mythic Map Pack! Can't wait to see what we get for the vidmaster challenge achievments! I hope and pray that it is NOT recon armor. I think it would lose it's luster. Recon armor should be ONLY for those that Bungie deem worthy. I hear it's for contributing to the Halo community, and as a very special award. That is how it should be.I like every aspect of the update that I have seen so far, except one thing. I do not think that lone wolves should be 8 players. 6 was hectic enough. That's all I'm going to say on that. I'm not uber upset about it, because there are plenty of other playlists that are just as fun as LW 'used' to be. I will probably never play LW again, unless they change it back to 6. I'm fine with that. There's lots to play on Halo. The 4 player co-op achievment will probably be the most difficult, as well as the most fun to work for. Also, thanks for the new achievments, Bungie! I look forward to unlocking them all. For those that hate the update, I can understand that change upsets you. You should not, however, flame those that don't agree with you. Calling someone worthless just because they don't have a trueskill of 50? Pathetic. Be happy you got yours, and urge others to shoot for the same goal! For those that choose to ban Halo, and go to another game: maybe the Halo community is not for you. I wish you luck in finding a game you can enjoy. You can't please everyone all of the time. You'll find something to dislike in nearly everything you experience. That's life. Enjoy what you like, and stay away from what you dislike! To everyone: Have fun! Keep it clean! Keep it friendly! Played first game(Squad Battle) in weeks and my whole team quit in first three minutes forcing me to quit.

I agree with hippo... the new update sucks! Give us our old maps back! It really makes me not want to play! I hate going to play ranked and get owned by some generals just because the new update.. its no fun!

New Skulls?

So...I just played a little of the TU2.... I don't see the point. I was actually getting excited about it not long ago but once I booted it up, played a little....I got to say I don't see much of a difference. All I notice is that most of the updates are on the website and in the game they're moreso...hidden. It may be just my having an "off" day but, if I'm in a mood so bad I'm saying "That's it...I quit Halo" then there's something up. First off...what's the point of having another ranking along with your main one if you don't gain experience? What the hell does THAT show? I was figuring that in the end with this update, as I had been expecting, that it'd be easier...EASIER...to level up, gain experience, and enjoy. But as a matter of fact I've found that it's the complete opposite. The matchmaking is STILL convoluted as I am still paired with overly aggressive players but with sh***y connections, so in the end THEY end up winning because they know how to cheat the maps or the connection....I don't know. Maybe I'm just trying to come up with excuses for the latter part but ..I don't know. I don't really see the need for this system on the surface as far as PLAYING the game since all I get is ANOTHER ranking along with the only one that matters (My commander ranking) and yet.....ugh. I just don't know. This really disappointed me...I guess I'll hop back on Halo 3 when news of the new maps and achievements pop out. Otherwise, -blam!- it, Bungie. :(

Hey guys who don't have Legendary Map pack yet, I think it is going for free once the new achievements are unlockable. Check this out: "On a Legendary map, get 3 assassinations during any ranked or social match" Notice, RANKED or Social match" Meaning: The legendary maps will enter the normal line up from the DLC. This happened for the Heroic map pack when the Legendary was made. I conclude that Legendary will go for free once the Mythic comes out. NOTE: This is just something I noticed. If anyone knows the real story, please tell us. I would like to know myself what the truth of the matter is. Thanks very much.

I can't believe how much you guys are complaining about losing your stats and calling the "nubs" "scrubs." It's a -blam!- video game. You play it just to have fun, who cares if your back to the basic level, just play the game and get it back if it means that much to you, its a game. I don't recall getting anything special for being a higher level. And I don't want to hear any bull-blam!- to me saying "your a nub", I don't care, I'm a grown ass man in the Navy who has better things to do than sit and play games all day and argue with 14 year olds. You guys should just really be thankful that Bungie made such an entertaining game. Bungie, your update is great, gives me more acheve. for more of a challenge. Looking forward to more maps.
