ok but you havent justified why they ban boosters, if you think true skill works as it is you are wrone i just had to win about 60 games of team slayer in a row to get my 48 from a 47 (check my game history if you dont believe me) the system sucks wheras if i make an new account ai can get from 1-50 in that many games, you dont seem to be an experienced player so i doubt you have been cheated against many times, bungie cant find the majority of these cheaters any way because there are simply too many.

Well, this doesn't sound too good. Not the Update, but about the date of when the AU2 will be issued being pushed back. I don't know why, but I get a bad feeling about it. Not saying it will be bad. Just feels like it will be. Then again, I could just be over-reacting. Another thing that kind of stinks is not seeing any of the new maps. I take it that these maps won't be out until around mid-October, or later. I'm not complainning, just wondering. Well, whenever they come out, I'm sure they'll be awesome.

[/quote] Halo 3 is worth quite a bit compared to other video games in the secondary market. The store makes a good markup and someone else will very likely buy the game at a decent markup, Microsoft has little more care about halo 3 than it's interest in Download Content, Although I bet they do keep track of 2nd market sales figures because they do care. As far as frequency of play for Campaign, plenty of people still play it, and I don't really think it has any bearing on anything your discussing. Your also assuming that an extremely high percent of halo 3 players are only interested in halo and don't play any other online game, one of XBL's strong points is the all encompassing online game subscription, with few exceptions. The longer you went on the less sense it made, the grammatical errors encountered throughout the post started growing exponentially and I cropped the rest to save space.. Well now I'll try to keep it brief. Some of the actions they are banning for are Federal Crimes. When people cheat through IP flooding and various other nefarious activities they hurt Bungie and Microsoft. No one likes a cheater, when someone gets cheated they get pissed off and stop playing the game. Without action the cheater density only grows. Thank goodness that I've never been one of the poor fools to slight Bungie! I'm a good player, honest! :D I had a really weird dream about playing halo three with my brother and two friends last night... and an achievement for getting seven kills in a row without dying... it was weird.

We are all patiently waiting for the release and hopefully no one loses an eye in the 64-man roshambo tournament. I am actually really excited to see this TU in action, really pumped for the playlist update as well. [b]Ultra Ban[/b] KEEP IT CLEAN doesn't do this one enough justice. Players that find themselves on the wrong side of the banhammer are really going to be stirring up a storm over their "unfairly ban." This is where you get info on all things Bungie, not just Halo 3. Many people frequenting the site are not just fans of Halo, but also Bungie and like to know what's new and happening in general with Bungie and their employees, not just when something is gonna change in Halo 3. If there's nothing to report right now, would you rather they just not have an update (even though it's called a WEEKLY UPDATE). That's like telling someone their MySpace or Facebook page sucks because they keep putting up info about themselves in it. I'm glad they at least make the effort to come up with an update of some sort, even when there is no Halo 3 news to report. It's either that or they could just let the site sit dormant for a month until they have an announcement to make. Personally I prefer the former. It's probably "hard to know the date for the TU2" because they don't have a date yet. WELL!!!....Frankly i dont care about the ban hammer or golf. I dont listen to the podcast. Im so sick and tired of meaningless -blam!- just being thrown into the update just to take up space. TU2 is probably going to ruin the game even more and im still going to be stuck holding onto the hope that someday these people with game designing software will realize that the hardcore players of this game would like to see some actual some stuf that help the gameplay and not the unskilled 5 year olds who cant win a game without the assualt rifle being their tool of destruction.

The whole part about the banhammer, I just had a question. Ive made some 2nd accounts, but they were the month trial versions so my buddies could play with me without being guests (since I swear no one owns an xbox in kent) but I have only played social with them and a little ranked every once in a while. Its been pure legitimate fun. Sooooo, does that mean I get the banhammer??

You guys need to stop being so condescending to your community. You're already losing fans to other games. If you want to keep people around, maybe its best not to be asses to them. You need the community to keep Bungie alive more than it needs you.

Update was a good read, am pleased to hear about the new banhammer hits and more people will be getting caught but what will be happening to the people that have already boosted? Will the hammer be visiting their account?
