SPOILERS EVERYWHERE!
Leave now if you haven't beaten the game. Trust me, it's much more fun without spoiling it for yourself. :)
To those who have beaten the game, what was the hardest part for you?
Honestly, for my first playthrough, Father Gascoine gave me the most trouble. I think I took about 12 tries to get him. I've never taken that many tries on a souls boss before. I actually had to quit and come back the next day I got so mad!
Oddly enough, I beat him flawless on the first try of my next playthrough. I guess I just had the wrong technique the first time. I got my ass kicked!
Share your tough moments please.

I beat the game but only after a massive amounts of Deaths to Rom.
-
The only boss that walled me for the longest time was the boss in old yarnam. The one that start poisoning you as you take it's health down. When I finally beat it. I had 1 blood vial left. And 0 antidotes. As for normal section, I'd say the forbidden woods had me stumped for a while.

I have a new hardest area. The Nightmare of Mensis. Just....-blam!- that place.

I've never even played a souls game (until Bloodborne) and I beat gascoigne alone, without the music box, and only healed twice. All you have to do is parry. Vicar on the other hand...

Waste of Skin playthrough. Final boss. Just mayhem.

Edited by N4VYS43L: 4/2/2015 1:44:32 PMThe Wet nurse has a few cheesy tactics and can be a pain the first couple time you face her.

Yahar'gul is where I got wrecked the most.
-
Rom was a piss off. The Yaha'gul village is kicking my ass right now so I'll probably have to grind some levels.
-
Easily the Monarch Logaryus boss or Gehrman. They are both such awesome fights. Reminded me a lot of Old King Alant

Chalice dungeon Loran, the abhorrent beast. Solid hard, took me over twenty deaths to defeat.
