Bungies 'RNG' - The real joke

Setting the scene, we're running the ROC strike, Sepiks Prime. Started out with three of us, the first guy pretty much left straight away (fair enough). So me and the other guy just crack on. We quickly progress to Sepiks, got Sepiks halfway down on health when the other guy disconnects. Feeling bad for the other guy I crack on bringing Sepiks to a fraction of its health when two randoms are dropped into the team (this doesn't bother me). Sepiks dies shortly after, when I notice the two other guys that only joined the fireteam ended up with various legendary items!! WTF I thought to myself! Is this really RNG!? I've seen it far too often, players with the least amount of involvement, least kills, lowest score, most deaths are bestowed with the best rewards! Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining about the two other guys that just got dropped into a game by the matchmaker, there's nothing they can do about that! But Bungies 'RNG' is sending out the wrong signals, it rewards the lowest scoring players more often than the highest scoring. So on the basis of that logic what's the point in playing properly, because technically you could do literally nothing in a raid, strike or crucible match and be given a big 'special' Bungie pat on the back when it comes to the reward screen! TL : DR Bitching about RNG: The highest scoring players at the end of the game should be given the chance of better rewards through RNG, not the lowest scoring players! EDIT: I suggest a slight change to RNG where the best performers in a raid, strike, crucible match are given an increased chance through RNG the likelyhood of better rewards. This would also eliminate the AFK'ers in raids, strikes and matches! If there's no reward for not participating it would force players to at least try and participate. In my eyes this only seems fair but only IMHO.

 • It's not random. There's a hundred guns but you'll get like three same guns over And over and over. If it was Vegas slot machine they'd bin it for being broken. If it was a dealer they'd fire him for failing to shuffle. At best it's weighted like nba draft slots where like you have a 90% chance of getting a shards and a .01% chance of getting a gun. Then they just say its random. Not really when you've weighted the results in favor of duplicating items and constantly returning the same weapon. You can't tell me that Atheon drops aren't drastically weighted toward giving aspect of glass, energy and time breakers over weapons. weapons. And like today it's funny on two different characters, about 3 minutes apart I turned in the same bounty and only that bounty and on both I got awarded a rare ship blueprint. The problem is their random number generator is massively slanted. It's a broken slot machine.
