Let's look at some facts really quick...
Number of Titan exotics:
- 4 helmets (5 spaces left in inventory)
- 2 gauntlets (7 spaces left in inventory)
- 2 chests (7 spaces left in inventory)
- 1 boot (8 spaces left in inventory)
Number of Hunter exotics:
- 4 helmets (5 spaces left in inventory)
- 2 gauntlets (7 spaces left in inventory)
- 2 chests (7 spaces left in inventory)
- 1 boot (8 spaces left in inventory)
Number of Warlock exotics:
- 4 helmets (5 spaces left in inventory)
- 2 gauntlets (7 spaces left in inventory)
- 3 chests (6 spaces left in inventory)
- 0 boots (9 spaces left in inventory)
Now... Let's assume that you also have a full set of VoG and CE raid gear on all three characters.
That leaves you with 3 helmet spaces per character, 5 gauntlet spaces per character, 4-5 chest spaces per character, 6-7 boot spaces per character, and 7 class item spaces per character, plus what you're wearing.
That's plenty of space for Vanguard, Crucible and Faction Gear, and you haven't even needed the vault yet.
Now, I will say that only 24 spaces for the General section isn't enough, but I think 24 spaces for armor is more than enough

What you don't seem to get is that after all the fuqing grinding we have to do to earn our weapons (why your on a bout people complaining about armour space I'll never no - never heard anyone complain about that!) We don't want to dismantle them all - some we keep as souvenirs, some because their perks make them awesome in specific situations, some because we just kinda like to collect and evolve them like pokemon, and that's BEFORE we even start to think about raid and exotic weapons. and it also kinda sucks that we had to pay full price for a game that's been chopped up to create dlc and that's been half arsed so they could sell more copies to the prev gen console owners.
