Cryptarch misconception!
It is very common to see people get angry and frustrated at Master Rahool (Cryptarch) and I sometimes do myself, but a lot of people don't realize something:
The Cryptarch isn't giving you a random item from your engram, he is [b]decoding[/b] it, meaning the engram's contents are [b]already decided[/b] before you even reach the tower.
So next time you turn in some engrams, remember that he is simply telling you what you already have thus allowing you to use it!

Edit: I guess people are just using the Cryptarch as a target for their frustrations with RNG.

Not entirely true get a blue armor engram on a hunter and decode it on a warlock and you will get warlock armor not hunter

1 ReplyI pass engrams looted on a Titan to my Warlock or Hunter and get gear for the class decoding 90% of the time. If they are predetermined that means Im getting almost 0% Titan, AND I am randomly dividing the engrams to the correct class almost 100% Hate to tell you, they are rng'd when decoded.

1 ReplyYeah, but if you get something good actually, he'll replace it with some blue mark or a rare pair of gauntlets with 2 light. Then he takes your good item and hides it for his collection.
