I was personally /(I really can't be the only one) let down HUGELY by how you could not use the bayonet on the Monte Carlo, Red Death, and even Plan C. I think they should be usable. Like a boost to melee damage. Or if you melee ability is available you can use that but while on cool-down you use the weapon's bayonet. Or, just another idea, while you are sprinting you do powerful lunge or stab at the enemy, causing extra damage. Basically a mini shoulder charge with a bayonet. I guess you could combine it with blink strike for the Hunters. Just a thought. Or you could take a step further, have the bayonet CHANNEL your special melee attack. Of Course, with the exception of the Hunters (<3) throwing knife. Perhaps, Warlocks, you who drain the energy of your foes, perhaps, your power will be honored by the exotic's bayonet. And then the Hawkmoon. The small blade at the grip. Bungie, you remember the melee of the pistol from Halo: Combat Evolved Perhaps the small blade of Hawkmoon would prove useful there. Exotic weapons in their intricate design must be more than their beauty. To be truly exotic, there has to be more and the abilities and the looks. A weapon can't simply look exotic, it must FEEL exotic. This is not to bash the other bladeless exotics, by all means no. What I mean is that the weapon must deliver as it appears. as these weapons are an extension of us. Like a knight is to the sword, or cleaver. The Sword binds the wielder to to victim. As the Warlock Toland has said. The sword is to the knight, like the sting of a wasp. Let there be a release of the exotics true, TRUE potential.
