Straight up visual first impression, Hive. No doubt. They're skeletal beasts with either 3+ or no eyes. And they wither away on death. In long term however, Vex takes the lead. How do we currently fight an enemy which can travel in a space-time dimension with technology beyond our knowledge. And then the simple shock of seeing a robot-like creature with only an organic core, which many believe is the tip of evolution. Outclassed, outgunned and outsmarted.

Fallen: BFF! Gotta love Gregs! (Dregs, I call 'em Gregs because of Mr Fruit). Hive: Literally terrifying (especially Thralls) and would never want them exist, friend or foe... Vex: Pretty cool but they would be absolute dicks in real life, especially if they were shoplifters. 'Damn, where's my till gone? *Minotaur laughs cynically.' Cabal: Basically rhinos let loose out of the zoo, in space suits, with guns. Run!

Are you kidding. This is easy.....the queen! She'd rock my world and haunt my dreams. But hey, that's me. I like 'em a little crazy. =)

Cabal- im not scared of these. They are too much like humanity's own imperialistic side. They are only out to conquer and expand, which I don't find terrifying. They aren't very intelligent compared to the other races either. Vex- these are really terrifying conceptually, but not up close. They are powerful and foreign, which is scary, but they are also interesting and, if only foot soldiers, not even overwhelming Hive- I find the hive the scariest by far. They work without normal technology, relying on some methods guardians consider dark magic. That alone shows how otherworldly they are. They are also sadistic, stripping flesh and light from guardians for pleasure and study. They have claws, are very foreign in appearance, and are completely different from humans. They are also arguably more evil than all of the other races. Aesthetically they also have an edge on fear Fallen- I consider them bros, tbh. Some of them are good, and I think they are very much like human beings. They are enterprising, once held the traveller, and they are clinging on to lost power and nobility, just like the human race in destiny. Despite them not having a sustained fleet like the Cabal or unlimited power like the hive or vex, they manage to be a huge problem and are thus far the only race that has actually almost successfully taken the city. I like the fallen, especially because they seem to have so much spirit, and so many emotions and feelings similar to humans. If you read the grimore, you'll see a female vandal hold off against hive with Cayde 6, and then pretend to Attack him in order to die in battle. This shows a kind of cumulative exhaustion on this fallen, her giving in. This is interesting. They are not really a lost race- they are trying to reclaim what they lost. They might have fallen a little bit, as their name would suggest, but they aren't outright evil and they have a lot of potential. I see them as what we could have become after the collapse.

Vex. They can literally decide that you no longer exist.

I dunno I mean I would be scared shitless if I was in the vault of glass. It scares me to think of getting erased from time or bring forever in the dark corners of time. It gives me goosebumps if I think about it for awhile

Cabal are underrated in the "scary" department. They are Imperialstic Warmongers ...they live for war and violence. They have the greatest military in the galaxy. Hive look scary...but Cabal are a giant (800lbs) horde of "space vikings". I met an NBA player once (Kevin Willis...7 ft tall)...scary big. Cabal dwarf him in size and they have lots of big, scary guns I guess I am thinking in terms of seeing them in real life (obviously if they existed).

Imagine that a vortex formed in NYC and a Gatelord stepped out and fired into the gun free crowd when the Ball drops.

In all honest, the vex and fallen combined. the vex figured out how to remove people from existence, while the fallen were intelligent enough to be able to bring that power to the outside world in a more controllable manner.

Hive are definitely the scariest in my opinion. The Vex are the most interesting and they are pretty badass.

Vex since they are a robotic race which have a reputation on invading other planets.
