Our VOG/Praedyth Theory

To start with I was a little hesitant to post this thread due to the toxicity of this community, but here goes nothin Ok so a friend and I have been pretty much consumed by the mystery and lore behind the Vault of Glass for a couple months now and we believe we have a rather solid theory behind who Praedyth was. Again this just a theory, not a fact. Legend says a Fireteam consisting of Kabr, Osiris, Pahanin, Praedyth, Unknown, Unknown, went into the Vault of Glass. The Theory: We begin with the Praetorians. The word Praetorian comes from Ancient Rome. Praetorian Guard was given to those who served as the Roman Emperor's Body guards. In Destiny, the Praetorians are Aetheon's Body guards. With that being said Praedyth also starts with "Prae-" leading us to believe there is some connection. To continue, with a simple rearrangement of letters, you get Pyrdeath. If you break it down you get Pyr - death. Pyr stems from the word Pyro meaning fire. Pyr was also a term given to Fire Elementals in the written series "Hearts of Eden". The other half, "death" is self explanatory. When a Warlock uses Self-Res, the perk (if you will), is called Fireborn. Meaning, once a Warlock dies, he can be born again from the fire. And the final connection, is is that the Exos were created to protect our Golden Age ancestors, meaning they aren't actually people and were used as tools for protection. This would have meant NO ONE PERSON was with Kabr, but he was not alone when he opened the vault. (Where Osiris and Pahanin and Osiris were at this time is unsure) This only makes sense if the body is an Exo because it is physically impossible to resurrect a human or an awoken as they are real and have a soul; only an Exo can come back to life. For Example: The very first mission the ghost revives you. In an earlier post a former Bungie employee stated Bungie was forced to cut both the Human and Awoken beginning sequences and the one we've all played was the Exo's beginning. So, basically we believe that Praedyth was not a single person. Praedyth was a term given to an Exo Fireborn Warlock that was used for protection like a body guard for an Awoken or Human Guardian who would be unable to be revived. This would have given Kabr 3 additional fireteam members, each with two lives at his disposal. Praedyth's Revenge: "Praedyth's fall isn't over....because it hasn't happened yet...and it will happen again." Praedyth's Timepiece: "He skipped like a stone across time's ocean. This is what's left." -Unknown. The original fireteam consisted of Kabr, Osiris, Pahanin, Praedyth, Praedyth, Praedyth. (All three being Fireborn Warlocks) Anyway, that's what we think. If you ain't havin it, that's fine. At least its a little change of pace from the pointless daily Nerf/Buff - RNGesus - AMA Posts. -Child -Stivason
