Why all the sudden hate on last gen?
You people didn't give half of a shit about 360 and ps3 players before, but now that Bungie's released that you won't be receiving an infinite amount of vault space for all the weapons you don't have you're treating last-gen owners like supporters of Hitler. You have 3 characters. Each functions exactly like a vault. Problem solved.
EDIT: If you say last gen is holding back Destiny on current gen then your points will be considered null. You knew prior to buying the game that it would be cross gen, thus it would be accommodating for the older hardware. This was the intent of Bungie. This is the full game. Plus, MUCH larger games run perfectly fine on last gen (Skyrim, GTA V, you name it).

1 ReplyYeah, it's amazing how I can store armor, weapons, crafting materials, dragon bones, books and all kinds of crap in one random drawer in one house in Skyrim yet I can only store 20 guns in Destiny.

I can't hate what I own but I also have had a ps4 for what seems like 2 years now. This game should have never been released on both gen consoles. Vault space is hardly the only limitation. Have you played the game on both consoles? Night and day difference in graphics. They put destiny 2 on both consoles I won't be buying it. I'm done with games being held back to support old technology. I paid for ps4 I eant games at its full capabilities.

3 RepliesThey didn't have to cut anything, there's no reason that your entire vault needs to be displayed on a single screen. You ought to be able to have an armor screen, R1 over to the weapon screen, R1 again to get to the materials screen. Or even use fly outs for each like was suggested many times in the forums. Their fix was bare minimum and lazy. I wouldn't put it past them to have mentioned the last gen issue just as a distraction so people would flame out about that on the forums rather than their super duper space increase. There were so many ways they could have worked around a '# of items on screen' issue.

I must admit, I have 3 different characters, and they all have specific weapons on them.... Vault sits half empty. On the other hand, I've had the vault full before, and only smashed weapons because I actually ran out of space.... I've been playing since the alpha, and loved a lot of the old weapon designs. I'm sad to see so many of them go.

I'll clear it up Next Gen is getting the vault upgrade last gen is not They should but Bungie screwed up their game and now we are paying for it.Bungie should just add it in with the DLC for last gen or something I don't know coding well but they definitely tell you why it's harder than what people think

I don't understand how you bungie is having a problem with this. In bl2 you could have an unholy fûckton of gear across way more than three characters and the game ran fine.

Last gen held back destiny from the beginning. On the developer ride-along, they specifically mentioned how the steppes and the divide were originally parts of a larger, continuous open space and they had to add the interior space between them and cut back on the explorable space because they wouldn't render on last gen systems. They are 70% of the reason that destiny is less than we expected. The crucible and activision make up the rest.

It's only being revealed now that it's holding us back. It just bums me out cause I think it's restricting some possibilities here. I still love my Xbox 360. It plays Halo Reach, and that's all that matters for me.

I just wanted to bring up that characters carry over within console families. So, if you had a full Xbox one vault and then tried to play on 360 with a smaller vault, you would lose space and gear. Just a thought that came to me, maybe that was the main reason?

I'm on ps4, but I can't hate on last gen. I mean as far as vault space goes let's be serious... Bungie is full of shit. I'm not saying last gen doesn't hold us back at all, but I am saying I have a ps3 Skyrim dresser drawer that holds like 10,000 items soooo... I'm willing to call bullshit. Way to take the scapegoat trick guys.
