When the annoying guy in the raid gets the loot
I joined a checkpoint after someone messaged me asking for help with Ir Yût, we tackled it five man and it went great. There was one particular member of the fireteam who was incredibly annoying and kept gloating that they had everything (including a rainbow shader that changes colour whilst equipped). He was quite obnoxious and ignorant to the fact that we all knew what we were doing during the raid.
As we cleared up the mobs and waited the drops he continued to say that he's got 3 32s with max weapons and a million Gjallahorns, all the best exotic gear, etc etc. everyone was getting pretty grinded down by his chat and people began to simply interject just to cut him off.
The rewards drop and this guy gets the only exotic, of course, a gjallahorn. Everybody went a bit silent as he shouted about having too many gjallahorns and that he had no use for it.
It was a bit of a kick in the nuts to have such an arrogant player be rewarded such a coveted item. I'm accepting of the RNG system and so I'm not disputing that the gjallahorn shouldn't have gone to him, but my god it does suck when horrible players bring a group down and still reap more benefits.
I suppose this was a rant, but I wanted to get that off my chest.
Luckily I picked up a gorgon checkpoint later and got my first Thunderlord! So maybe there is an RNGesus who looks down on us after all.

3 RepliesNo no, you don't let them stay for the loot. I always raid with this one guy if somone is being annoying he askes me "eclipzo what do you do with a soccer ball?" I replie with "well xero.. we kick them" (a player left your fireteam).

A while back a friend invited me to do Crota NM, he was level 30 and so was the other person that hadn't completed it that week, I didn't complete it either that week but I was level 31 with full Crota armor, I think it was my 5th time doing Crota... My friend and the other level 30 are both using a MIDA that they just bought from Xur, didn't have a single upgrade... Anyways, we took him down in two runs, the level 30s both died in the completion run so we had to take out oversoul twice... One of them gets Black Hammer, the other got Hunger of Crota (it was the first run for both of them), and I got 3 Radiant Energies. Not to mention they both asked if the weapons were good.

I run a lot of charity runs for people that need help. Whether it be raids or Nightfalls, I almost always help a friend in need (I really love raiding, what can I say) and will help with nearly any random Nightfall request I get in the Tower. I remember what it is like to be without a raid team, or not having people willing/available/exist to help with Nightfall runs so I always try and help people out as much as possible. Hell, even one of my friends poked fun at me the other day for bringing along another "expendable." But the most annoying thing for me is when I help them out (sometimes CARRY them outright), they complain and moan and cry and whine when they don't get what they wanted from the activity. It's like, "Really man? I got NOTHING. So sorry I did you a favor."

We helped them open the door, and my friend insisted on helping them (I honestly didn't want to.) The players were mostly cooperative, but there was one particular guy who had no mic and would not listen to anyone. Throughout the raid he kept dying repeatedly, but since it was just normal me and my friend could carry him (and the level 24) through the raid. We got to the exotic chest, but this player did not join the group. He went on to run into Gorgons maze causing us to wipe multiple times as we waited for him at the exotic chest. On one of the wipes, he actually headed back with us. He didn't even wait for one of the guys who was trying to get back to open the chest. Opens it early, and gets Gjallarhorn. We went on to 2 man Atheon for this group and they didn't care/know what happened. Biggest waste of time.

1 ReplyDuring Crota HM, at the second bridge, we had a guy say he had to help his parents with something for a few minutes. We finish the bridge and get to the deathsinger, but he isn't back yet. We decide we can manage and finish the deathsinger. He gets the only exotic of the group which is a Hawkmoon. We are deciding what to do since we can't get him to the crystal room then he comes back saying, "sorry guys I was taking a shower." Then he loudly celebrates his new hawkmoon. After two failed attempts at Crota, he leaves without saying a word...

Once someone gets an exotic, the chance of getting another of the same exotic should be reduced dramatically.

My friend and I were invited to a group that my friend knew to do hard vog. We started at Gorgons and three times while they changed characters to get chest I ran to gatekeeper three times and wiped with them. We get to Aetheon and me and my friend (mostly my friend for he is insanely better than I) carried the group. My friend got his fourth Gjallahorn from Aetheon. He really deserves and while everyone else was complaining he and I were laughing our heads off it was so funny for us.

Got a worse one :/ Wy group helped one of our friends group members run VoG back when 30 was cap He got Raid chest piece, Hawkmoon and ghallahorn by the end of the raid. Hawkmoon and ghallahorn.... I was so pissed because he is the biggest noobie ever :/ I remember him asking if ghallahorn was a good gun or if hawkmoon was good too Never played with him since

I would say rng is trucked but I have had 4 ghorns drop so I'll just keep at it. *40 kills no HOC *46 kills no HOC got dragons breath.

Rarely find someone who loves to fish or hunt or golf. Or like any sports for that matter

3 RepliesWhy didn't you mute the dumbass? I know communication is great during the Raid but there is only so much a person can take. I would've muted him then interjected that if dumbass had anything constructive to say then someone else would have to fill me in with his wisdom.
