Borderlands 2 and Pre-Sequal

Are they any good? They are releasing the bundle for PS4 and I don't know whether to purchase. What are the similarities to destiny? Differences? Co-op mode any good?

  • The upgrade to 1080/60 is definitely noticeable. Looks awesome on 70 inch tv.

  • Borderlands 2 is the absolute best experience I've had in a video game ever. So much to do and so fun. And then TPS dropped and its tries to introduce all this new stuff that wasn't actually new. Scav is just bandit, only 2 legendary non laser, that weren't brought back from Borderlands 2. Super disappointing. Borderlands 2, 10/10 for the comedy, gameplay, and uniqueness, and endgame. TPS, 4/10. There's no endgame and until now no bosses that drop loot respawn. It's got a good FIRST playthrough (after one, stop)

    • Borderlands 2 is definitely in my top 5 games. Amazing. One is good too. I couldn't get into pre sequel though

    • Borderlands 1 is a good game, but I would recommend playing with friends. Borderlands 2 is basically Destiny done right. It's extremely addictive and fun, especially if you're playing with friends. Borderlands The Pre-Sequel is a good game, but not as good as BL2. It's still fun to see the new guns and the new characters, but it gets old kinda fast.

    • Borderlands 1&2 were epic games that I spent over 1000 hours on just running around having a blast killing weird shit. The weapons generator on 1 was by far the best imo, but the feel of 2 was a bit better and the characters were cool in 2 also. I'm going to get it just to goof around again. Plus supposedly I will get my character, gear, and saves transferred? Nice!

    • BL2 was a great game. However, I personally will not get because I don't want to replay through everything again. The world is more immersive and open than Destiny. Npcs everywhere giving you tons of quests (but often typical fetch/collect this item by killing these monsters quests). 70 levels instead of 20+gear grind. There are more guns, but I do find the weapon system in Destiny better, just wish we had as many guns. More elements on their guns as well (as opposed to our 3). Good shooting mechancis (on pc anyway) and the classes are good and you have to make choices on how to spend ur skill points.

      • Great game. IMO better then Destiny. As Monty11 said, I wont be buying it as I dont want to reply though everything again. I spent so many hours on this game the first time around I'm sure my Mrs would kill me if I was to do it all over again. oBLUterate clearly feels it was a massive grind, suppose he did have multiple character though. Personally I think the grind in Destiny is worse. BL2 didnt bore me or make me think "Whats the point in doing another strike, oh wait theres nothing else left to do". The hours I put into BL2 were enjoyable, like Destiny, but not once did I feel like whats the point. The DLC (which I believe is included in the collection) was good and at the time worth the extra I paid. Loot system is better & the chance of seeing someone with the same weapon & perks as you is very rare. You can also trade too. If I was you, not having played BL before id buy it.

      • BL 2 is great, haven't heard much positive about the pre-sequel. I wouldn't get unless I were a BL fan.

I will say that it has more content and story, but damn when you have to do the same story at least 3 times per character, and all the story missions for the loot, it gets old fast. Great game if you have friends to play it with, would never do it solo

        • Must buy IMO, especially if you have never played them, Borderlands 2 as other will say is arguably one of the best games ever made. As for the pre-sequel people say it is not as good but I have not played it but I can say that the you are getting more then your money worth out of Borderlands 2 and all the DLC.
