Best Class for PvE?
In my opinion Titan is the best class overall for PvE because of the Defender's orb generation capabilities with and without a super and deployable cover is always a bonus especially when you receive a buff upon entry. That combined with Helm of Saint-14 you can slow down hostiles at key checkpoints and block incoming fire.

1 ReplyI like a mixed team i ran roc strikes with a gunslinger and a bladedancer with my defender and we tore through pretty fast.

1 ReplyI think all the classes have their own ups and downs. I personally like my hunter bladedancer, I can turn invisible and revive teammates that died in the thickest parts of the battle.

6 RepliesI main hunter. I love hunter. But we honestly are the weakest in PvE. When ppl just use you to go invis so you can revive fallen teamates it isn't saying a lot about you. Our supers spawn the least orbs for others and high lvl majors will even survive them. We are a tactical advantage in that we can sit back in support and pick off bad guys. But we aren't good for mob control like warlock nova or titan smash. We can't grant benefits to teamates like bubbles or Blessings and Weapons of Light like a Titan can or Radiant benefits or self revive like a Warlock. We are great in lone wolf settings and marksmanship but that isn't very helpful in team settings.

1 ReplyEvery class has their ups and downs in pve. Warlocks with bad juju + OM can spam nova bombs, so they are the best for large hordes. Warlocks with fireborn and brimestone are orb machines. Have them self rez for 1 extra orb, then have them punch, kill, and explode the enemies around them. Titans with aftermath and flashbang are perfect for crowd control Titans with Helm of Saint-14, armor of light, and bastion can control choke points Hunters with all the invisibility perks are perfect for scouts and assassins. They also make the lamps in CE a cakewalk Hunters with the 4th gg shot and the double throwing knife perk are great for those single out kills. If you have combustion on, ever better! Its perfect for taking out the shielded enemy in the group (captains, wizards, minotaurs). They are also the best class for atheon. 1-2 shots for each oracle, or you can drop most of the enemies in the portal The weakest class has to be hunters. A simple fix for GG is to allow critical bonuses. A headshot in pvp will do the same effect as shooting them in the foot, but in pve it could be used on bosses or enemies that could take more then 1 hit to the body

Hunter is totally the best. One of the subclasses gives you three shots of instant death and the others gives you super speed, health and instant kill melees. Plus with upgrades an AOE attack or a wave attack.

I definitely prefer playing as my Hunter, but I can't really say that one class is far superior than the others.

For team play, a defender Titan is probably best. I still prefer playing with my Hunter.

Warlock - voidwalker PvP, Sunsinger PvE. Of course, many can be interchanged. Just can't think of a reason to use voidwalker for PvE...

I like the Hunter, since it works the best with the storyline: Quick raids into the wilds, achieve the objective and get back. It also works for me since I mostly play Destiny solo.

The boss can be taken down super fast, when each person can spam over 10 fusion grenades. Then the self rez can be a life saver in the NF if someone screws up or the game decides to kill you for no reason.

3 RepliesAgree with you except orb generation b/c Warlock can generate two orbs with melee. also if you have claws of ahamkara you can have two melees then generateing four orbs.AND THEN if you have your super you make even more orbs plus sunsinger regenerates all abilities including melee which generates EVEN MORE ORBS.But I do think that titans are more helpful. Only use for hunters in pve is their sick agility.

Warlock is the best for PVE. I have an Obsidian Mind helmet and my super recharge easily everytime I kill enemies and produce a lot of orbs.
