•
Posted by: TeapotKing I know this is probably flamebait, but why are the brutes being included? I thought the whole point of reach's campaign was to have you up against elites because they're actually fun to fight, not the brutes who are slow, stupid and boring in comparison to the Elites. also, why would they be participating in the battle of reach if they didn't gain any real military power within the covenant until truth kicked the Elites out of his honour guard and replaced them with brutes? It just doesn't seem to make sense, much like the totally pointless inclusion of the brutes in halo wars when the elites are far more awesome. I don't want an overshielded monkey with a weapon he doesn't even have to be near to me to use, only to have my spartan flying over the edge of a cliff and sending me back to the last checkpoint. I want to face off against a skilled alien swordsman who has depth and intelligence in the way he moves, rather than the chieftain's strategy of "run at it and spam it with a hammer until it either explodes or falls off the map". I'm still gonna buy it and play it to death, but why Brutes!
Elites are your main oponents, like in CE, so most likely Brutes will be have special roles, like bosses. Dont expect to see them as often as elites
