Hey, I have nothing really to add to what has been said below, but I can tell you what I did to get my characters 31-32 (I've done the grind 4 times in the past). This guide will be assuming you have already hit 20, which you have. -[b]Always complete your dailies, weeklies, and if you have not already done so, purchase TDB DLC expansion[/b]: This is all really common sense, but it is important if you can't seem to get past 25. Doing the dailies on higher difficulties will not only reward you with an engram and upgrade materials, but will also give you a nice chunk of experience, depending on the level you complete it on. Make sure before you end the mission you have all the gear you want upgraded equipped. The second most important thing are the bounties (If not the most important). They not only give you faction experience, but give you a nice chunk of exp you can use to upgrade your gear as well. The reason I mentioned to buy the dark below dlc pack is not only for the gear (Which aside from Iron Banner, you need to reach level 32), but also because the bounties are fewer but offer more experience upon completion. I bet you kill swords of Crota already for the shits and giggles of running around smashing stuff, no? Why not kill 3 and get a bonus 3700+ exp reward as well? I understand you are a lower level, but try to get some friends, or clan mates to run you through the nightfall every day at the weekly reset. This gives you an aura that lasts until the next weekly reset that grants a +25% to all experience you earn. So lets go back to that blades of crota example, not only would it be an easy 3700 exp bounty, if you turn it in with the nightfall aura active, it is 3700 +25%. I for one think it is worth it. Best of luck to ya sir **Edit: another reason to buy TDB expansion is because of the ROC strikes. They give you a blue engram after every strike on top of whatever other rewards you achieve.**

In addition to the stuff below, make sure you do your daily heroic missions. that plus VoG is the easiest and most consistent way to get shards. As many below have brought up, don't try to rely on random drops for your goodies. Grind out those vanguard + crucible marks so you can just buy your gear. Last, once you get your vanguard and/or crucible rep to 3, go buy a class item from one of the factions and equip it - you'll level up rep with that faction and be able to buy their gear as well, plus they level up a little faster (since vanguard and crucible rep goes to the faction) One semi-off topic point, enjoy your time as a low level :-) It can get old mindlessly disassembling legendaries because you already have everything you need.

Max out your vanguard and crucible marks, then buy gear. You can hit lvl 31 with full tower gear.

I would do the vanguard strikes repeatedly in hopes of a legendary engram.(I used to get them once every 2 strikes) (24)

do your bounties level vangaurd and grind tiger strikes for marks and buy gear then do the raids

Marks can buy planet materials. If you have some spare, spend them. It will shoot up to endgame areas.lvl28+

get to 31 by buying gear from ikora/cayde/zavala

Do all of theris bounties to get those legendary gauntlets. Then you need to run VoG. That should help out quite a bit.

just dont depend on drops because that shit is not easy to come by

weekly strike and vault of glass i was for a few weeks and now i have 3 players and the last one took about 12 hours to hit lvl 20 and about 6 hours to hit 25 and after one week i was at lvl 30 with a full set of purple and now i have 2 accounts and one the 1st one everything was maxed in about a month on 3 players

Do the raid Vault of glass, try get some people to help you out, look on a lfg site

Get vanguard gear[spoiler]simple[/spoiler]

buy gear - simple easy to get to level 30 It used to be hard - was probably 4 mth grind

You need to grind the vanguard strikes for legendary gear and after you get your full set, you need to do vault of glass to get ascendant materials. You probably should buy your first exotic armour from Xur by doing weekly heroic strikes. The only way to get to 32 is by doing Crotas End.

Strikes, crucible, rare engrams have a chance at dropping coins, nightfall, and last but not least raids will help you get gear. If you do bounties for vanguard you can buy the legendary armor pieces and that will get you to 30.
