Hear me out. I could be wrong, but from my experience, I either get a whole ton at once, or none for a long time. If this is true then you are not really getting more drops (though you still do benefit from getting more ammo per pack!). Wouldn't it be best to get heavy ammo more spread out during a strike/raid rather than all at once? You can only hold so much ammo and use it up in one location before you have to move on. A lot of the time when it does function, I have to abandon the ammo because I have to progress through the strike/raid. But like I said if its the way that i think it is, the main perk you get for ruin wings is essentially the "surplus" perk for whatever heavy weapon you are carrying. The downside is that you go on without ever getting heavy ammo for long periods of time. I really love the look and idea of them and almost always run them with my titan, so i feel sad about this sometimes.
