So i was thinking to myself, exotics are meant to be this amazing rare thing thats hard to obtain... but in hindsight, its not hard at all, yes there may be a few that are rarer than others and harder to obtain, but you WILL get them eventually. my idea stems from world of warcraft. if you've ever played WoW you may or may not have heard of the legendary items you can obtain, literally they are so rare some people may actually not know about them. to my knowledge (pretty outdated i quit like 8 years ago) there would only be maybe 3 or 4 of said items on each realm of 5000 people basically you have a super -blam!-ing rare item. lets equate this to say gjallarhorn to make this relatable. but once obtaining the gjallarhorn, there are a sum of other items and weapons which are equally as rare wich you also have to obtain, from various places eg. Crota HM drop chance of 0.01% , also 0.01% from an exotic engram, extremely rare crucible reward etc. you get the picture. a player has to play all of the varying content to access these items. in WoW i believe it was maybe 5 or 6 of these incredibly rare items you have to obtain, one of which being similar to a bounty lead, which sets you a near impossible task equivalent to say soloing Crota on HM. once you have obtained all the necessary items which would be used as consumables to create the new amazing weapon AND completed the impossible task, you will be rewarded with an incredibly powerful weapon so so rare very few people know of its existence (obviously everyone would know because you'd brag all over the forum but you know what i mean casual players etc would have no idea) But i think it would be a nice thing to have in destiny. to really make the hardcore players have that never ending carrot on a stick to always have something to aim for. and to really make those top tier players shine. so do you agree this would be a nice touch? Also lets get some ideas:- what would the items be called Why would the be so excellent (perks etc.)
