Jolder's Hammer vs Against All Odds
Worth grinding in IB for Jolder's Hammer, or nah?

1 ReplyI have a Jolder's Hammer with Aggressive Ballistics, Spray and Play, Field Scout, and Crowd Control. It's the only MG I've owned since launch that is better than my trusty old Swarm. I got JH as a drop from Iron Banner right after I made rank 4. I stink at PvP but with JH (or Swarm) I can usually get at least 4 kills, sometimes more. I did spend about 20 motes to get that roll but it was far worth it. AFAIC it's about the best roll you CAN get on a MG. Worth the grind? Eh... Up to you I suppose. Last week was my very first Iron Banner. I might do it again on the same character but I doubt it. I just wanted to do it once. Got the emblem, helmet, chest piece, the cloak, shader, Efreedit's Spear, and Jolder's Hammer. It only cost me about a bazillion glimmer....feck. The only thing I have that's worth a poop is the JH. It. is. a. beast.

I love my against all odds way more. But i have found that being able to reroll jolders hammer every IB for the hell of it is kinda fun.

Same thing I'm wondering. I grinded day 1 IB bounties only to lvl up crucible and receive an AAO with field scout and crowd control. No real point in grinding for Jolders now, I think

The fact that you can get any damage element and any perks makes it much better

Edited by RTWombat: 3/19/2015 12:18:26 AMIn my opinion, a good roll on Jolder's Hammer> every other machine gun (with the possible exception of thunderlord). Field scout and crowd control are best possible perks, with the first perk not really being that important imo. I love mine with field scout, crowd control, and persistence. Unfortunately it's a drop from IB 2.0 so it's 300 atk.
