Iron Banner Reputation Gains
how about single-digit points for kills or captures (rewards for individual performance), and then the usual: boost when your team wins or an iron medallion if your team loses?

Read this... pay close attention to the bottom where it discusses Iron Banner Rank and the use of Emblems, Shaders, Class Items, AND Tempered Buff: http://planetdestiny.com/iron-banner-reforge-guide/ The Bounties are where it's at. It's pretty easy to get all three Characters to Rank 5 if you use the Emblems, Shaders, Class Items AND the Tempered Buff... just complete the IB Bounties each day and you shouldn't have a problem. NOTE: you CAN Vault the Emblem and Shader to your other characters if you don't want to spend the Glimmer.
