Now I know everyone is going to think: But what about raid weapons? They would no longer be sought after as much or be nearly as special or wanted. The thing is though, I often see player foregoing exotics in Nightfalls and other situations because they don't have the extra power to take down the stronger shields. Before anyone gets me wrong and think that I want the guns to be OP, this seems to be an idea that was originally for the weapons beforehand. Take Bad Juju for example, it was originally going to be a void pulse rifle exotic (http://desimg.zamimg.com/static/upload/screenshot/resized/5.jpg?1416855010), Who knows if any of the other exotics had planned elements, but I digress. Adding an element would make it so these weapons would see more action. Raid legendaries still have their uses as sometimes they are weaker versions of the exotics they are trying to mimic (Found verdict being a weaker Invective and Black Hammer being a lesser (or sometimes greater) Ice Breaker).
