Everyone has a shotgun in the crucible. I do. But there's a reason.... For close quarters combat. Usually I'll use Hawkmoon, raid shotty, and a heavy, or the Fang, Invective and a heavy. Primary for longer distance engagement, shotgun for close quarters. I will say that maybe Bungie should make the shotguns 1 shot you to bout 1/16th of your health at any range max, so at least you have a chance to fight back. Point is, don't cry about people with shotguns. If you know they have one, stay away from them and hit them from afar. You don't have to go running all over the place like a 10 year old playing laser tag.
