House of Wolves Raid Speculation: Theories and Ideas!

Nope. I'm done. If all of you read the post, then you would realize that my previous speculation of hunter dominance in the next raid was not definite. But instead, you all would like to argue a point with no evidence. I apologize to those who had actual ideas to suggest. Deleting the post seemed like the best idea. Thanks

  • I've got an idea The archon priest came from the prison of elders on the reef right? We know the raid is going to be on the reef. My idea is that maybe each boss is one of the freed archons, kells, all the elite guys that are kept in the prison.

  • 3 swords and 3 shields in sync to kill the boss or take blades from reaver captains to fight the boss. 6 members needed to activate and complete. So all have to use 3rd person special, and weapons are irrelevant :-D

    If leaked images are true and the raid continues to be called the Arena I think it's possible that the whole thing will be a Romanesque Coliseum. No puzzles or switches just waves of higher difficult enemies until a boss spawns and loot is dropped. The one "leaked" image had three difficulties and various modifiers attached to it similar to a Nightfall strike.     • Individual killing ability? You mean the arc blade that always gets them kills when they try to use it on a major or the golden gun that does less damage than an icebreaker crit. Note: I have a hunter and I support this message

    • I feel like in CE, ALL classes helped a lot. Titans with their bubbles save lives lol and hunters run sword extremely well.. Warlocks make orbs <3

        • My favourite mode to play in any game is survival, so i would like a horde mode. Every 3 rounds have a random strike boss, finishes at 3 strike bosses (vex, then cabal, then fallen... ive had enough of hive) A map like the black garden but in a complete circle should fit nicely (like a collusium). The ending could have the new materials as rewards (as i think doing crotas end to get radiant materials is a bit of a slap in the face... omnigul strike should have dropped some imo) I dont think that would work as the new raid though. Up close and personal for a raid would be a nice change. Make use of the shotguns and the striker class for titans. Warlock shined in vog. Hunters shined in ce, give the titans something to do now

        • I think for the most part all classes play their role in each raid. Except maybe arc blade hunters in vog.

        • Well if it involves splitting up, I'm not sure it would require all paths clear, because remember, there are probably going to be parts of the Arena that you can solo.

        • I like the idea of the fireteam having to split up into individual paths for a certian part of the raid but I do not think that would actually work as it would not be fair for the other 5 team mates to be penalised for 1 persons mistake.

          • Hunters were pretty useful in CE ,too. Their invis. works pretty good for the Abyss and Crota. Somewhat for the Deathsinger ,also.

          • You know Sepiks Prime the big purple eyeball? Well it's actually a [b]Ghost[/b] without corners. So the raid boss is a giant ghost basically. Because the ghost is traveller sperm, from the giant orgasm when the traveller ball arrived to mate with the Earth - because he likes em big & chunky.

          • Hunters are the best for CE. they can solo the first part. second part they can go invisible and surprise the gatekeeper and the are the best sword bearers. titans cant do anything first or second part. With crota all they can do is put a bubble down. CE was made for hunters.

                  I'm not convinced Bungie is intentionally tailoring raids to any one class. Warlocks emerged for a time as the "preferred" class on VoG as their grenades were the best for certain cheesy elements and of course self-rez is useful for any high-end content. But honestly I don't think any class really stood out in VoG over the others. On the other hand, I would say Hunters are the most useful class in Crota's End by far. Their agility and especially their invisibility makes them the top choice for the lamps, the shrieker hallway and the Crota fight itself. Can you get through these things with other classes? Sure, but it's easier with a Hunter. Again, I'm not sure this was Bungie's plan all along - these are the strategies the community has gravitated to, but that doesn't mean Bungie intentionally set them up. We'll see what happens when HoW drops.
