WHEN SOMEONE IS AFK! a new challenge!
When yur doing strikes and someone is AFK I have a challenge for you.......
Stop...think..."maybe something happened and he had to step away..
For example some of us are parents ... And if the kid wakes up we go take care of our kid... We don't think to go to orbit we want to take care of our kid... So don't act like a pansy and report or send hate message. Start the strike. ITS NOT THAT HARD! And we will catch up.....

Wow. I didn't know there was this many ignorant babies that played this game. I can see reporting the dude that tapes a controller and is just standing there punching..... So please continue to be butt hurt that somebody stepped away and isn't there to carry yur sorry adds in a strike because if you are as good as you say then it doesn't matter solo the damn thing. Report away cause destiny never said it was abuse to have to "legit" step away. Oh any for the dickheads that say turn it off before getting my child. When I hear my kid fall outta bed -blam!- the game I'm getting my kid. If that negatively effects yur experience go "QUICK SCOPE ON CALL OF DUTY!

Edit 5... Since everybody is so butt hurt I decided to go AFK on purpose.... Just got hard light. Lol. Might do this every night before bed now
Edit 6.. 5 was sarcasm in case tall don't know. And the whole point of not leaving is maybe we like that strike and wanna come back to it and not go to orbit cause we all know how hard it is to get the one we want in rotation. I had arkon priest 3 times In a row before

People need to not be assholes and report/kick for someone being gone for less than 2 minutes and get some patience. However, if I start the strike and 10 minutes later, or half of the strike, you have not moved, you're gone. If your kid gets into some trouble while your watching them, then that is a child care issue, not a game issue. Other people play this game, so everyone needs to understand people have issues, and people cannot always let theirs get in the way of others. Shit goes both ways. If my kid is around. It's close friends or I solo. No randoms.

I got an afk experience for you: Was on omnigul in a couple weeks ago in a roc strike. Joined a random team at omnigul. Just started fighting and one of the players was crouched around a corner and not moving. After a while I decided I'd have some fun and started pushing the person who was afk toward the omnigul room. Then the other player comes up to me and starts pushing their friend back out of the room. We kept going back and forth until I finally pushed the afk person into omniguls line of site. The afk person continued to die and their teammate kept reviving them to try to push them back out but they just kept dying. I was laughing so hard. Then the afk persons friend sent me a message that said "stop being a -blam!- you little -blam!- he's eating dinner blah blah blah". So then I pushed his afk friend back into omnigul all while I was cracking up at this guys reactions. Good times... Good times

If we are halfway through and someone goes AFK I'll keep going because it's plausible that something happened. If someone is AFK at the start they are most likely a strike AFKer so I will troll them and then leave. Sure, a few people might have legitimate reasons but most of them are just looking for someone else do the work for their reward. Basically a few assholes ruined it for everybody.

I just ram them into a wall with my sparrow or shoulder charge 20-30 times and they usually leave

8 RepliesI'm married and have two children. If I need to take care of family I go to orbit - it takes only a few seconds. If it's an emergency it's the power button. It's called common decency. If you leave, your otherwise useless slot will get filled with another player rather than forcing the other two to carry your dead weight.

The problem in my humble opinion is there is no way to tell the genuine AFK people from the tossers out there. I've had to do it before when if I don't I'll piss myself.... It does happen and I can empathise with having a child... You do sometimes just have to drop the controller and go. But in the cases of me having to go - but none urgent I would leave to orbit and at least give the rest the chance of getting the slot filled.

Yeah.....i get it, but the problem isnt players occasionally having to walk away for whatever reason......its players intentionally going afk, and not coming back..........this happens a lot, really a lot...... So how do you propose that people who are actually playing the game tells the difference between "cheaters" and someone who had get the door or something. If someone just stands there for over a minute, or hasnt moved by the time i get through the first few areas.....im out

5 RepliesI put solar wind on. Push him the the edge of the map. Watch him for. Revive him. Watch him die. Rinse repeat. Until he comes back or I get bored and just leave. Then he wonders why his strike kd went down so much. :D

4 RepliesIf you go afk I will ram you into walls with my sparrow, push you off cliffs and into enemy fire and continue reviving you until you either decide to help or leave. I don't know your reasons unless you message me. If you have a good excuse then no harm done and we can start the strike. This is how the internet works.

Yea. I joined a weekly heroic last night, 1 guy was afk in a stairwell. Me and the other dude that was playing got about half way through the strike then both managed to die due to a shitty bubble. So now we are both just sitting there waiting to be revived but the afk guy doesn't come back for another 10 mins so we both had to leave and start again.. reported

Or, if you're on the ROC strike, run them over with your sparrow. They'll come back for sure

I had to take a crap in the matchmaking/orbit purgatory. When I came back the game was empty. The thing was I didn't take long. It might have been the fact that it was undying mind though.
