I hail from Scotland, and some of our inventions include:
The first working televisions and colour televisions
ATMs and the PIN system.
A form of telephone (Other people were working on it at the same time. Alexander Graham Bell just got there first.)
(Re)discovery of Penicillin
Scottish scientists also came up with the first theories for electromagnetism and the Higgs boson.
