<sigh> Why? No, not "Why did you do this at all?". Rather, "Why did you FORCE us to do this at all?"
Change can be good.
- I know that there is a lot of lonely Destiny players out there who need random friends for a few minutes to complete content. Matchmaking meets this need.
- Destiny is a social game. Matchmaking further recognizes and reinforces this point.
- Three is better than one (or two), right?
Change can be bad.
- Sometimes we want a challenge. For us mere mortals who don't solo the raids, the Weekly Heroic and Nightfall are the go-to proving grounds.
- We're not all lonely, but for a myriad of reasons, sometimes we choose to play alone.
- One is better than three (or two), right? Absolutely - when the sparrow-mounted randoms charge headlong into the fray, leaving their teammates in the dust, skipping almost all content, passing enemy after enemy, only to enter a darkness zone alone and DIE. Result - WIPE!!! Really Bungie!? You didn't see this coming?
<sigh> No, change isn't always good. But, CHOICE is great! Give us the OPTION to matchmake. Don't force it on us.
